Open Post: Hosted By JaBent, The Kitty Who Discovered Heating Pads
Pet Helpful reports that a Canadian woman named Lauren recently purchased a heating pad to help soothe her monthly cramps. Unfortunately for poor, sore Lauren, it was immediately stolen when she turned the pad on. The culprit goes by JaBent (birth name: Bentley). He’s white with yellow-green eyes, stands at 9.5 inches, and weighs approximately 10 pounds. JaBent is Lauren’s kitty, and he doesn’t give one single solitary fuck that his mother is suffering from agonizing abdominal pain. All he cares about it is the heating pad. HEATING PAD IS MOTHER NOW.
Yesterday, Lauren posted a video of JaBent enjoying the heat pad on the cat’s official TikTok page, @its_jabent. In the clip, JaBent looks pretty fucked up. Lauren notes that he’s “literally drooling.” The TikTok has already racked up 7.4 million views and JaBent has become a STAHHHH:

One commenter pointed out that Lauren should make sure she flips JaBent halfway through his warming time, or he won’t be fully cooked. Lauren responded with video proof that JaBent has a built-in self-flipping mode. How convenient!:

Another commenter suggested Lauren steal her heat pad back, put it on her lap, and then wait for JaBent to lie on her/the pad. It actually kinda worked! No, JaBert wasn’t able to fully zonk out like he’s in a Victorian-era opium den, but he got on Lauren’s lap and purred (which is also good for Lauren’s anxiety). However, kitty did paw at mother’s chest, as if to say, “Hey, you stole my heating pad”:

You know, it’s not often we celebrate an addict discovering his drug of choice, but in JaBent’s case, I do believe we can make an exception. I think this is the beginning of a beautiful (actually, maybe pretty toxic) friendship…
