Tim Burton And Monica Bellucci Have Been Secretly Dating
The Daily Mail reports that Monica Bellucci, a gorgeous and talented Italian siren, is dating Tim Burton, a guy who gets hard for all things gothic. Apparently, these two have known each other for 16 years but have only been “secretly dating for four months.” My first thought was, “Damn, and right after he split with Helena Bonham Carter.” Then I Googled, and was absolutely horrified to find out Tim and Helena have been over since 2014. 2014. Time flies when you’re making the same movie over and over with Johnny Depp! Aaand another Google informs me Tim and Johnny haven’t worked together since 2012’s Dark Shadows. What is happening?!?
The Daily Mail seems to believe 58-year-old Monica and 64-year-old Tim have been seeing each other since last October when she presented him with a lifetime achievement award at the Lumière Film Festival in Lyon. The pair also sat together at the awards ceremony and were later spotted watching a silent documentary film made by French filmmaker Louis Lumière in 1895 (sorry, but SNORE). Monica has been married twice. Her first marriage was when she was 20 and it lasted six months. In 1999, she married French actor Vincent Cassel. They had two daughters together, and divorced in 2013. Monica insists they’re still close, even though Vincent, then 52, married a 21-year-old model in 2018 and had another daughter the following year. Ay ay ay! Monica also moved on to a younger partner, French sculptor Nicolas Lefebvre, who was twenty years her junior. They split in 2019.
Now for Tim’s romantic history: he was married to a German artist for four years until they divorced in 1991. Then he dated model/actress Lisa Marie from 1992 to 2001. Lisa starred in a bunch of Tim’s films, including 2001’s Planet of the Apes. Guess who else was in that flick? Helena Bonham Carter. Tim had an affair with Helena and dumped Lisa, who got revenge by auctioning off all the shit he’d left at her house. This was not Helena’s first “other woman” rodeo. She and Kenneth Branaugh got together on the set of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein (1994) while he was still married to Emma Thompson. As noted above, Helena and Tim lasted ’til 2014 and had two kids together.
WELP. There ya go. Two industry mainstays are boinking. Does this mean Monica will suddenly start appearing in all of Tim’s movies and slowly turn into the Italian version of Helena Bonham Carter? I really, really hope not…
