Iggy Azalea Tweeted About Her Ex Playboi Carti After He Was Arrested For Aggravated Assault
32-year-old Iggy Azalea is a mother to a 3-year-old son, Onyx, with 26-year-old Playboi Carti. Back in 2020, she publicly came for him, claiming she was raising her son alone and called him out as a cheater. Of course, she back-tracked a bit and said he was involved with his son and later even said that her call-out would make things “change for the better.” It did not. The two are completely over, and last year, she told her fans that the two were “not even remotely on good terms”–and Iggy is raising her son solo, but she’s rich from selling all her masters, so she’s okay. But, she is getting salty online after her ex’s recent arrest for domestic abuse. I mean, it’s definitely a choice for someone to make somebody else’s alleged violent assault about them, but okay.
TMZ says that back in December, Carti allegedly choked and pushed his girlfriend–who was pregnant–after a verbal argument about the paternity of the child. He was arrested this week for aggravated assault in Georgia, and his lawyer has said he’s been “falsely accused.” I guess Iggy saw this and was like: “Told you so.” Complex says Iggy hopped onto Twitter and seemingly gloated about her trash ex’s arrest by saying it without saying it… except she sure did say a lot:
“Been there. Done that,” the artist, who recently launched her expansive Hotter Than Hell project, said in one tweet. “Warned you.” Later, she referenced her and Carti’s child and accused her former partner of “serial abuse.” Elsewhere, she pointed to “karma” and wished her fans a happy Valentine’s Day.
“Imagine having a pregnant girlfriend and pretending they don’t exist until it comes out you like to abuse them too [and] rarely visiting your actual son unless [it’s] because you’re running from whatever problems ya got going on in Atlanta [and] the press with your serial abuse of woman,” Iggy wrote.
I don’t know if Iggy wants to be out here talking about “karma” so freely. She’s probably pissed off a few ancient spirits through her subjective cultural appropriation, so maybe she shouldn’t tempt them to show up for her as well.
