The Ben Affleck For Dunkin’ Super Bowl Commercial Featuring Jennifer Lopez Aired Last Night

Last week, we got a teaser of Ben Affleck’s Super Bowl commercial for the purveyor of his beloved life spiral nectar, Dunkin. Last week, we also got a teaser of how things between him and his recent bride Jennifer Lopez might be going (again). But either art must imitate life or Ben and Jen decided to get in on the joke; because the Dunkin’ commercial aired last night and featured the “nagging wife crashes her lost, miserable husband’s party” plot.

Not since escaping from J.Lo’s clutches to greet his ex-wife’s boyfriend had Ben looked as jubilant as he did while working the Medford, MA Dunkin drive-thru in full Dunkin’ regalia. He whipped out his Masshole accent to confuse and annoy several unassuming customers who just wanted to grab their hawt black and get the hell out of hell, which if you’re familiar with Dunkin’, happens to be located in their drive-thru. And their lobby and parking lot too, actually. via Page Six:

In the ad, Affleck wears a full Dunkin’ uniform, from his head in a branded visor to a T-shirt with the chain’s motto, “America runs on Dunkin’.” He completes the look with a headset to take customers’ orders — with a Boston accent.

And then up screeches J.Lo to deflate Ben’s extremely tumescent Munchkin®.

The “Argo” star’s wife, Jennifer Lopez, also appears in the commercial as a customer who pulls up to the drive-thru window.

“What are you doing? Is this what you do when you say you’re going to work all day?” she asks.

Ben says Jen’s embarrassing him in front of his friends and tucks his tail between his legs as she orders him to “grab me a glazed!

Here’s the full spot:

And in the most Boston fashion ever, some of the Dunkin’ customers from that morning were still annoyed about the slow service even after learning it was because Ben was shooting a commercial for the Super Bowl, and/or were under the impression that Ben Affleck’s career trajectory had led him to actually be working there out of necessity.

The commercial was…fine; but it wasn’t super convincing because 1. Jennifer Lopez has probably never eaten a donut in her entire life, let alone one from Dunks, and 2. Jennifer Lopez would never step foot in Medford, Mass. But if anything came from all of this, hopefully, Ben got a small taste of how working in the service industry sucks so ridiculously hard and starts slipping servers the appropriate tip as Jennifer focuses her attention on making sure to never, ever lose track of being on camera again.
