Open Post: Hosted By Halle Berry Sharing A Video Of Her Busting Her Ass At A Charity Event
Halle Berry takes no shit when it comes to dealing with her career shortcomings, chaotic lazy Susan of failed relationships, messy co-parenting battle, or being related to Sarah Palin. But she DID end up eating absolute shit last week when she tried to take the stage for a speaking engagement at a charity event. She rallied and got the job done despite a probably bruised ego, and later proved she doesn’t take herself too seriously when she posted a video compilation of the forceful spill from several angles.
People says 56-year-old Halle was a guest speaker at a charity event in LA when she went down hard. She didn’t (visibly) scream at a stylist for choosing too high-heeled of a boot for the occasion or demand to know who assembled the steps on which she wrecked, as I would expect from a Hollywood elite-type. She instead laughed about it, took it in stride, and later shared the video of her going down hard and asked people to donate to the charity she was there to support.
In the video, Berry is seen making her way to the podium until she falls down on her face, and the clip freezes on her shoe, where a red arrow appears.
“Yup, that’s me. You’re probably wondering how I ended up in this situation,” the audio says before a snippet of Boney M.’s “Rasputin” plays over clips of Berry tripping from different angles as part of a viral TikTok trend.
Before she began her speech, Berry had her hand over her face laughing at the incident as those in the audience cheered. “OK, if I see this on the Internet, fans’ coming for you,” the Bruised director warned the crowd.
“Sometimes you bust your ass!” Berry began her caption before explaining what happened.
“My dear friend @shillahekmatpiano invited me to speak at her charity event celebrating a wonderful organization called @lookingbeyondla that raises money for children with special needs… then that happened!!! I face planted 🪴,” she shared before asking those to donate to the cause.

No one likes getting high-fived in the face by the floor, but good for her to attempt to turn it around to raise more money for the charity. Halle’s in an upcoming project called Mother Land and she must be testing out The Method in preparation–because mother landed like a ton of bricks!
