Britney Spears Slammed Reports About Her Loved Ones Staging An Intervention, And Sam Asghari Says She’s In Charge Of All Decisions Regarding Her Care
It’s been a little over a year since Britney Spears’ conservatorship ended, and we heard the other day that those closest to her were scared for her life and wanted to stage an intervention. But allegedly, Britney caught wind of the plan, so it didn’t happen, and of course, she took to Instagram to rail against the reports. Her husband, Sam Asghari, also released a statement that basically said Britney’s in charge of Britney, bitch.
According to The Daily Mail, Britney posted a quote about gratitude on Instagram yesterday and used her caption to refute claims that she’s been combative, erratic and that the whole intervention narrative was made up; and she’ll probably have to stop posting on Instagram if this all continues, so just let her perfect her homemade lasagna in peace, y’all.
The Grammy-winning singer, 41, denied reports her family and friends reportedly planned an intervention this week due to concerns ‘she would die’ over escalating substance abuse and mental health issues.
‘It makes me sick to my stomach that it’s even legal for people to make up stories that I almost died … I mean at some point enough is enough!!!’ she said in an Instagram post Thursday. The Toxic artist said she’s ‘probably going to have to stop posting on Instagram because even though [she enjoys] doing it, there’s obviously a lot of people who don’t wish [her] well!!!’
The Oops!… I Did It Again vocalist said she was ‘honestly not surprised at all’ at the reports, though she’s ‘doing the best’ she can.
She said: ‘Again, the conservatorship has been over for almost a year … No folks, it’s not 2007 … it’s 2023 and I’m making my first homemade lasagna at home’ and ‘finally got my fireplace to work in my living room.’
Spears quoted her husband Sam Asghari, 28, in saying, ‘As my hubby says it best: don’t believe everything you read !!! All that love right back at ya !!!’
Here’s all of that. Probably smart that she turned the comments off in anticipation of some of her more fervent fans calling the cops to her home for yet another wellness check.
And even though it was previously reported that Sam was going to be part of the now-refuted intervention, he provided a statement that seemed to be in full support of Britney continuing to do what Britney wants as long as he still gets to golf and spend all day at the gym and says everyone needs to LEAVE BRITNEY(’s health) ALONE.
“…Asghari issued a statement to Access Hollywood’s Mario Lopez denying that any sort of intervention took place.
‘An intervention did not occur,’ the actor/fitness pro said. ‘My wife is in full control of her life and will continue to make all decisions involving her care regardless of circumstances. Speculation on her health is inappropriate and should end immediately.’
So if you were studying the architecture of the same two rooms Britney constantly posts pics in or taking fashion cues from the same four outfits she’s been JCPenney-style modeling in said rooms, it may be time to get your screenshots now; Britney’s been fast and loose with deleting her account lately and she’s given a warning this time. But I hope she posts a pic of her finished lasagna before deleting her IG again. And we should expect that picture next week since that’s about how long it takes to make a damn lasagna!
