Nicola Peltz’s billionaire father, Nelson Peltz, was trying really damn hard to get on Disney’s board. Nelson’s investment company Trian Fund Management owns $1 billion in Disney stock, but we all know that (Warning: SARCASM ALERT) Mickey Mouse is every kind of honorable and can’t be bought! Disney argued to its shareholders that Nelson wasn’t qualified to sit on the board because he knows as much about showbusiness as his son-in-law Brooklyn Beckham knows about photography, cooking, fashion, and everything else Posh’s kid tries to get into. But Nelson argued otherwise. Well, today, a day after Disney laid off 7,000 employees, Nelson Peltz announced that he has finally given up his fight for a board seat. I know that many look at this as a win, but it isn’t. Now we may never get to see the Millenials’ answer to Meryl Streep, Nicola Peltz, finally bring some true acting talent to a Marvel movie.
