New Random Feud: Melanie Lynskey Came For Adrianne Curry’s Criticism Of Her Body In “The Last Of Us”

Melanie Lynskey is a Hollywood veteran who’s been consistently wildly successful in both television and film. You might know her from older things like Heavenly Creatures or Coyote Ugly; or her newer hits, Yellowjackets and The Last of Us. At any rate, her career speaks for itself. Then there’s Adrianne Curry. She entered the scene as the first winner of America’s Next Top Model and was able to hang on to a sliver of attention over the years by meeting Christopher Knight/Peter Brady on The Surreal Life and marrying and divorcing him, and saying idiotic shit on social media. She’s now an actual Avon lady who still says idiotic crap on social media, mostly of the “Libertarian” variety. You know the type. Recently, she set her imbecilic sights on Melanie’s body in The Last of Us, lamenting it was too curvy for the character she played. Unfortunately, Melanie faced criticism about her figure before as far back as Coyote Ugly and has endured it as recently as Yellowjackets. But Melanie wasn’t having it this time and stood up to Adrianne. Of course, instead of just taking the L, Adrianne came back with that dumbass double-down/backpedal/double-down strategy so characteristic of people of her caliber.
According to E! News, this new unexpected beef began when Adrianne tweeted about Melanie’s “body of luxury” (pause for snorts of disgust and rolled-eye stabilization) being wrong for the role of Kathleen, who was introduced in the last episode of The Last of Us.
In since-deleted Feb. 8 tweet, Curry wrote underneath a photo of Lynskey, “her body says life of luxury…not post apocolyptic (sp) warlord. where is linda hamilton when you need her?”
But the internet is forever, so here’s Adrianne’s drivel that should’ve stayed in the drafts before it was deleted:

And Melanie must’ve grabbed a screenshot, too, because she reposted it when she took Adrianne to school for her shit take:
Firstly- this is a photo from my cover shoot for InStyle magazine, not a still from HBO’s The Last Of Us. And I’m playing a person who meticulously planned & executed an overthrow of FEDRA. I am supposed to be SMART, ma’am. I don’t need to be muscly. That’s what henchmen are for pic.twitter.com/YwkmkwUdOm

I understand that some people are mad that I’m not the typical casting for this role. That’s thrilling to me. Other than the moments after action is called, when you feel like you’re actually in someone else’s body, the most exciting part of my job is subverting expectations

And this is where it should’ve ended, but the self-described “recovered Hollywood douche” Adrianne (only because Hollywood doesn’t want her ass anymore) acted shocked that Melanie would take issue with her criticism.
In a response to Lynskey’s thread, she wrote, “Actors taking character criticism as personal attacks is mind blowing.”
As fans began to catch wind of Curry’s remarks, she double down even further.
“I’m not allowed to say I didn’t find the fictional character believable due to her soft voice, small stature and curvy frame. Fictional. Not real,” she responded to one user, while telling another, “Next up, Jason Mamoa (sp) will find my criticism of his portrayal of AQUAMAN and will put me in my place with a strongly worded tweet on why he IS the perfect Arthur Curry.”
Ultimately, the Surreal Life alum said this wasn’t her first rodeo with receiving backlash for her TV opinions.
“So what? Why does anyone care?” she tweeted. “I said the same s–t about Carol in the walking dead!!!”
Adrianne also said Melanie edited out a part where she complimented her figure. Here’s that and some of the subsequent things she burped up:
Next up, Jason Mamoa will find my criticism of his portrayal of AQUAMAN and will put me in my place with a strongly worded tweet on why he IS the perfect Arthur Curry.

good thing i didnt and complimented her hour glass frame. sad thing she cropped that out to fit her PR agents narrative to get her press

No, someone sent me a photo of her bodacious curves to excuse my criticism of not her acting…but her being miscast
Saying a person is miscast and stating that their voice, height and body add to it shouldn't be an insult.

No, she got the attention she and her PR team wanted to promote her.
I don't want any attention. Just to live a normal life and watch Nerd things and comment on Nerd stuff

Laughing out loud at Melanie Lynskey needing Adrianne Curry to craft a “PR narrative.” But congratulations to Adrianne for securing one small crumb of 2023 attention. Hopefully, it’ll be enough to last her a few more years, but in the meantime, I think she may want to seek a second opinion on her farting problems–both the ones coming from her stank opinion hole and whatever this nightmare scenario is coming from her asshole-proper:
I went to the doc & asked why I fart so much & why they smell so bad.
Not kidding.
Had a physical/went over my diet of meats/veggies supplements, workout routine etc…
She said she LIVES for people eating like me & to let em rip in the name of my health.I feel validated. pic.twitter.com/rhsJ83cSIk
