Ben Affleck Went Viral For Looking “Miserable” At The Grammys With Jennifer Lopez

Couples where one partner loves to get loud, and the other is oriented toward quiet contemplation are frequently well-matched. Two loudmouths (J Rod) are annoying, and two church mice (BenAnana) are a snooze. And Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez always seem to strike the perfect balance between homebody (Hims) and home entertainment center (Herses). But what works in private doesn’t always work as well out in public, as evidenced by Ben’s over-it demeanor at last night’s Grammy Awards. According to Page Six, Jen’s customary high pitch(y) energy was no match for the raw, atomic power of Ben’s signature thousand-yard stare. Therefore it was Ben alone, sans Ennifer,  who “became the night’s viral sensation.” Typical that the man just has to sit there looking “miserable” while the woman does all the work of sitting there looking beautiful #JOBEAUTY, #OnTheJLo, #HimsAndHerses #2ndTimeAround #ExclusivelyAtTarget.

I’m pretty sure Ben let Jennifer know that if she wants to cram him into a tuxedo and pinchy leather shoes, she’d have to pry the Dunkin’ from his cold, dead hands, which is probably why the pair skipped the red carpet. But she should have heeded his warning and let him hold on to one during the ceremony because surely the price of a single cup of light roast amounts to little more than a hill of beans when compared to the dark “roast” Ben was served on Twitter. Page Six reports:

Ben Affleck became a viral sensation once again Sunday night, this time because he looked absolutely “miserable” while attending the 2023 Grammys.

The “Argo” star accompanied wife Jennifer Lopez to music’s biggest night, but his facial expressions suggested he’d rather be anywhere but the Crypto.com Arena.

The “Let’s Get Loud” singer, 53, made her surprise appearance during the Feb. 5 award show to present the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album, which ultimately went to Harry Styles for “Harry’s House.” She and Affleck, 50, both skipped the red carpet.

Despite her husband acting like a curmudgeon throughout the evening, Lopez shined in a plunging navy blue Gucci gown covered in rhinestones. The “Shotgun Wedding” star also piled on the accessories to complement her bling, wearing three oversized diamond-encrusted Bulgari necklaces and a handful of rings.

I bet you didn’t know that you, an average Joe, Jane or J Doe, could make a rich and famous celebrity like Ben jealous simply by having stayed in last night watching The Last of Us while nursing a pint of Ben and Jerry’s. Because Ben definitely looks like he wishes he’d married Jerry instead.

Of course it’s easy to catch someone in a moment of passivity (although Jen is immune), especially at an awards show where the camera is always watching, and very few can boast Jen’s prowess at watching the watcher. Jen shared some images from their big date night in which Ben practically beaming, adding the caption “Always the best time with my love, my husband 🤍 #ThisIsMeNow,” I guess because This Is Us was already taken by that other TV show.

And I’m sure there are thousands more photos of Ben smiling where that came from, available exclusively to subscribers of On The J Lo!
