Erika Jayne’s Estranged Husband Tom Girardi Has Been Indicted On Embezzlement Charges

This past season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills saw drunken pretty petty mess Erika Jayne cursing out children and almost meeting her demise at the foot of a yacht while the audience screamed, “Fuck her!” Because during her lucrative marriage to powerful lawyer turned accused criminal, Tom Girardi, she threw her ill-gotten wealth in our faces all the time. But now that Tom has been formally indicted on countless charges of defrauding his clients out of millions of dollars, he will have to face a judge to answer for his crimes, and I hope the jury is made up of nothing but widows and orphans.

According to Deadline Tom, his accountant Christopher Kamon and a few unnamed people will more than likely be headed to the pokey soon after being indicted on embezzlement charges. And if Erika has anything left from the bribery baubles Tom ever bought for her she may want to head down to the pawn shop now before the Feds come knocking at her door once again.

Federal grand juries in California and Illinois on Wednesday indicted the once highflying attorney, his law firm’s accountant Christopher Kamon and others for embezzlement.

“Mr. Girardi and Mr. Kamon stand accused of engaging in a widespread scheme to steal from their clients and lie to them to cover up the fraud,” U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California Martin Estrada said as the indictment (read it here) was filed in federal court last night. “In doing so, they allegedly preyed on the very people who trusted and relied upon them the most—their clients. Actions like the ones alleged in the indictment bring disrepute upon the legal profession and will not be tolerated by my office.”

Having lifted more than $15 million from Golden State clients in a multi-bank account bait and switch and personal enrichment scheme that ran from 2010-2020, octogenarian Girardi faces five counts of wire fraud. The charges carry a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison if the defendant is found guilty.

Hopefully, RHOBH won’t be on hiatus for too long because Erika’s going to need all the checks she can get for the foreseeable future. And as far as Tom’s future is concerned he could potentially spend the rest of his life in prison. Especially once adding to the laundry list of charges he amassed in Chicago as well.

Simultaneously in Chicago today, Girardi and Kamon were indicted on federal fraud charges for allegedly snagging more than $3 million in settlement funds intended for relatives of victims killed in the 2018 crash of Lion Air Flight 610. With the feds seeking forfeiture from the duo and fellow attorney and Girardi son-in-law David Lira in the amount of $3,069,500, the trio were formally charged with eight counts of wire fraud and four counts of criminal contempt of court.

Each count of wire fraud in the Illinois matter carries a maximum sentence of 20 years behind bars.

Tom, you’ll get no sympathy from me or anyone else who has common sense because what you did was wrong. And at this point, Erika will be lucky to afford TJ Maxx once again because she’ll be shopping in the finest Salvation Army California has to offer for the rest of her days.
