Don’t Let The Recent Hug Fool You: Jason Sudeikis And Olivia Wilde Are Currently Battling Over A Child Support Issue

February 1, 2023 / Posted by:

It seems like just yesterday (it was actually Sunday) that things were looking up in the chaotic world of Jason Sudeikis’ and Olivia Wilde’s co-parenting relationship. Things were rocky there for a while: Olivia may or may not have cheated on Jason with her now-ex Harry Styles; Jason served Olivia with custody papers on stage; Jason had to choke down dry salad while crying to their nanny. Shit was bleak, but it looked like maybe they’d passed the crouton to a less tumultuous leg of their journey when they were papped hugging after some kind of parent meeting. But, not so fast in mourning messy posts about one of the juiciest sagas of 2022; because it looks like 2023 might bring some new conflicts between the two; TMZ reported that they’re now battling because Jason filed to have child support hearings in the New York court system, while Olivia wishes for them to be held in California.

Though their custody issues are already handled in California, and that’s where they lived when Jason laid under Olivia’s car in protest of her Harry humping and where she disposed of their dog (#TeamGordon), Jason called up his New York lawyer to request a judge there handle child support matters instead.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … Jason’s New York lawyer, Bill Beslow, has gone to a New York judge to resolve all child support issues. The reason it’s sticky is that last July both a New York judge and a California judge ruled all CUSTODY issues should be handled in L.A.

We’ve learned Beslow went to a New York court January 4 and asked the judge to handle all child SUPPORT issues, and the judge set a hearing date for February 15.

It seems like Jason isn’t interested in Olivia paying him support, and he has no problem paying her, but he’s adamant he wants it handled in New York. Olivia’s probably confused because why not make California their one-stop dysfunction shop? So she’s doing what she can to keep judgments in CA.

Sources connected to Jason say he does not want any child support from Olivia. We’re told he’s willing to pay her “a reasonable amount” in child support either decided by the 2 of them or a New York judge.

Our sources say Olivia is baffled because both a New York judge and a California judge have already said this is an L.A. and not a New York case. She wants both custody and child support decided in L.A.

Beslow is appealing the decision to have custody decided in L.A. As for Olivia, we know her lawyer, Laura Wasser, and Olivia’s New York lawyer have filed legal docs asking the judge on February 15 to dismiss Beslow’s move to handle child support in New York, so a judge in L.A. can decide all issues involving the children.

But has Jason considered plying her with shortbread biscuits to help her see things his way? Works for Ted Lasso. Olivia missed out on a goldmine by not capturing this whole Greek (dressing) tragedy of hers and Jason’s après-relationship turmoil on film. Don’t Worry Darling was fine, but Do Worry ‘Deikis would’ve smashed streaming records!
