Alec Baldwin Was Formally Charged With Manslaughter Today, And Hilaria Baldwin Said It’s Been An Emotional Time For Their Family

Alec Baldwin’s been spending his time on the outside world on Instagram, posting a pic of one of his thousand children alongside an unsettlingly suggestive caption and begging people to help his fugazi señora, Hilaria Thomas Baldwin (seen above dreaming up ways to smuggle Baldwinito Batter in a condom out of the prison visitation room) reach a million followers. But it’s a real possibility that he may soon have to live in captivity. Earlier this month, we heard that he’d be charged for his role in the accidental shooting death of Halyna Hutchins on the Santa Fe, NM set of Rust, and today he was formally charged with manslaughter. Of course, the always-attention-ready Hillary Tomás took the opportunity to speak about it. This time, she took to her podcast, Witches Anonymous, to discuss the emotional toll all of this has had on their family rather than employing her last PR strategy of stepping out in a sweatshirt with a laughable quality she doesn’t possess splayed across her always-nursing chichis while yelling at the paps in Spanglish.

Alec and the producers already settled with Halyna’s family, but Reuters says that Santa Fe County District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies officially filed involuntarily manslaughter charges against Alec and Rust armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed. They could both end up serving up to 18 months in prison if convicted, plus another possible five years for the use of a firearm.

A probable cause statement accompanying the charges names Baldwin as both an actor and producer on the movie and says: “On the day of the shooting alone, evidence shows that no less than a dozen acts, or omissions of recklessness, occurred in the short time prior to lunch and the time of the shooting, and this does not include the reckless handling of the firearm by Baldwin.”

Never one to cállate, Countess of Coo-cumber Hilaria (who must’ve forgotten her Spanish accent on the bathroom sink that morning while practicing her daily lingerie yoga) thanked fans for their emotional support of the Baldwins amid Alec’s mess on her bruja podcast, which also featured a clinical psychologist who specializes in this brand of tragic familial mess. via The New York Post:

“It’s been an emotional time for my family,” said Hilaria, 39, who wore a “Mama bear” cap Tuesday as she left home with her husband hours before he’s expected to be charged over the deadly “Rust” shooting.

Speaking with a hoarse, faltering voice — but without her Spanish accent — Hilaria sounded devastated as she thanked her “Witches Anonymous” listeners “for your support and your kindness and your reason.”

“Quite honestly, I think without it, we would crumble,” she admitted on the podcast posted Sunday.

“So thank you so much for being our rock right now — because I don’t feel so strong.”

Specifically, Hilaria said she worries for the seven kids she shares with the Hollywood star, devoting the episode to chatting to Dr. Hillary Goldsher, a clinical psychologist who specializes in parenting and “trauma, depression and anxiety.”

Hillz also posted a similar message about the ordeal on Instagram today for anyone who didn’t hear her podcast (so, that would be everyone):

Hillary hate aside, yeah, any family facing a situation like this would have a rough go of it emotionally, so this didn’t really need to be said. The proper thing to do would be to keep your head down and your pepino-hole shut out of respect for the victim’s family. And once this all blows over? Maybe slowly tiptoe back into the spotli…actually nah. Just disappear forever, por favor.
