Prince Andrew Has Reportedly Been Kicked Out Of His Office And Palace Apartment

Jolly ol’ London just got significantly less jolly for everyone’s least favorite royal (and that’s saying something), Prince Andrew. A “royal insider” tells Entertainment Tonight that King Charles III has finally kicked 62-year-old Andrew out of his “plush suite of rooms” at Buckingham Palace. These rooms include his royal apartment and office. The move comes over three years after Andrew stepped back from his royal duties and about a month after Charles reportedly made the decision not to let Andrew use his Buckingham Palace office. And while I imagined 74-year-old Charles physically throwing Andrew out the Buckingham Palace gates (a la Fresh Prince’s Uncle Phil and DJ Jazzy Jeff), it turns out Andrew wasn’t even using the suites. He’s currently living at the Royal Lodge at Windsor with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson. Booo!

ET reports that there are currently no plans to boot Andrew or Sarah from their Windsor home (which is worth at least £30 million). They add that it’s unclear how his royal security will be handled in the future. Obviously, the topic is controversial. Andrew was allowed to keep his security detail, but when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were stripped of theirs when they stepped down as senior royals. Another source tells The Sun that, if Andrew wants to sleep in London going forward, he’ll have to buy a new place. All his possessions have been moved out as Charles renovates the suites. They add:

“The King has made it clear that Buckingham Palace is no place for Prince Andrew. First his office closed last year and now his sleeping quarters.

“Andrew loved having a suite at Buckingham Palace where he was not only set up for marital life with Sarah Ferguson but used it as a bachelor’s pad after his divorce. He brought back a string of new girlfriends to his home in the Palace — even model Caprice. A bachelor’s flat in St James’s Palace doesn’t have the same allure for a single man.”

Andy’s Buckingham eviction comes a few days after it was reported he “amassed a £10million war chestto launch a legal case against Virginia Giuffre. He wants to prove he never met her and that the photo of them was fake.

ET’s source adds that “it’s shocking” Andrew managed to keep his Buckingham office and apartment for as long as he did, given that he stepped down from royal duties in 2019 and THE QUEEN stripped him of all his military titles and royal patronages a year ago. Hey, in the Royal Family’s defense, maybe they just forgot. All these royals have so many apartments and castles and vast estates that it’s hard to keep track. For all we know, Charles was rollerskating through Buckingham Palace (wearing a crop top and licking a lollipop [my apologies]) when he discovered Andrew’s old suites. “Oh shit, I forgot this wing existed! Wait, what’s this? A bunch of letters from Jeffrey Epstein? 72 meticulously placed teddy bears? Axe Antiperspirant for Super Sweaty Pervs? Dear God, this is Andy’s flat!”
