Beyonce’s Multimillion Dollar Cell-Phone Restricted Performance In Dubai Was, Of Course, Leaked To The Public
Beyonce is about to make zillions off of her upcoming tour, but that’s still not good enough for her. Since we know her first love will always be a check, Beyonce packed up Jay-Z and the rest of their brood for an exclusive VIP performance at Dubai’s brand new hotel for high rollers, Atlantis The Royal. And in an attempt to keep the riff-raff (ie, “poor people“) from experiencing such opulence, the hotel put a restriction on anyone trying to use their cell phones to capture a glimpse of Beyonce’s performance. Of course, that didn’t work at all.
The Daily Mail reports the newest luxury hotel in Dubai, complete with gold-plated toiletries, wanted guests to feel extra special during their VIP weekend. The hotel itself doesn’t open up to the rest of the world until next month, so their soft opening was a classy affair for the richest of the rich, including Beyonce, whose suite did a shallow toe dip into her bank account at the low, low price of just under $150,000 a night.
The flagship Royal Mansion suite where Beyonce and her family stayed costs $142,500 a night. Set over 11,000sq ft and 22 floors up, it has four vast rooms, a cinema, a ‘safe room’ and its own pool. Should you need further space, it can expand to 15 rooms for $285,000 a night,
Of the 795 rooms, 44 have their own private infinity pools, hundreds of feet in the air.
Off one bar is an exclusive ‘ultra lounge’ with 20 tables, each having a minimum spend said to be upwards of $35,000.
Hotel boss Timothy Kelly told The Mail on Sunday: ‘We call that the space for your one percenters’ – an exclusive spot only for the very richest ‘celebrities and dignitaries’.
If luxury is supposed to look like an unfinished Lego playset, then this is it, folks! But unfortunately, such glamour doesn’t offer much in the way of security, as was exhibited with the many leaks of Beyonce’s expensive performance. Ahead of her One Night Only show, her production company Parkwood Entertainment posted the exact moment Beyonce arrived in her invisible jet like Wonder Woman, sprinkling the nighttime sky with honey-scented glitter.
Also, in her never-ending quest to ensure nobody knows how much she ever really makes, Beyonce was paid somewhere between $24 million and $35 million for her hour-long set within The Royal’s hallowed halls. There was even a requirement for everyone in attendance to sheathe their cell phones so as not to allow the peasants and paupers an opportunity to lay eyes on their grand show.

TMZ is reporting Beyonce’s performance was leaked to Twitter by those in attendance. And there is a multitude of clips to choose from that will give you everything you need to be satisfied you didn’t have to spend money on a fight and a room like the Dubai suckers did.
Tons of videos circulated Saturday in the lead-up to her gig, where people who had snagged a seat to the show were reporting that the hotel and other honchos were demanding people put their devices in locked zip bags — similar to how a lot of comics do these days.
There was also a live feed stream the hotel had up that had been capturing a lot of her sound checks in rehearsal … which was promptly cut off right at the curtain call. And yet, despite their best efforts — people on the ground were able to film it all regardless.

Perhaps Beyonce found a way to sneak a few phones into the show and “leak” these snippets to get everyone prepared for the tour. But hopefully, her tickets won’t cost as much as the rooms at The Royal, or her tour will consist of her repeatedly singing Me, Myself and I to a room full of empty seats.
