Emily Ratajkowski Calls Ellen DeGeneres Out For An Old Interview With Taylor Swift

Now that we know the dance segments during Ellen DeGeneres‘ talk show were probably her attempt to bob and weave an invisible Satan finally coming to collect her rotted soul, her old interviews have become hard to watch. And since the internet loves to remind us of how things used to be, there are many examples of Ellen’s now infamous cruelty on display during a time when we thought she was just being funny and quirky. Now in hindsight, we realize Ellen’s kind of an asshole. And 2022’s reigning dinner date queen Emily Ratajkowski recently came across two ancient interviews with Ellen and Zane Lowe featuring the Baroness of Beautiful Gowns, Taylor Swift. And EmRata chose not to be kind in her response to Ellen’s behavior with Taylor.

The New York Post reports TikTok user thatnostalgicgirl posted two of Taylor’s previous interviews; one with Zane in 2019 and one with Ellen in 2012. Of course, they both offer different versions of Taylor because, in the 2019 clip, Taylor’s body language screams, “I wish a bitch would try me NOW!” as she alludes to a messy interview she encountered during the early stages of her career. And she never mentions Ellen’s name outright, but we’re not stupid. Especially knowing what we do now, it 100% makes sense that this is Ellen ‘Dancin’ Meanie’ Degeneres she’s talking about. But just to keep it plain for everyone, the Ellen interview was also attached for context.

In the Lowe segment, Swift alludes to an old interview that made her feel uncomfortable when she was 23, saying that people at the time were “reducing” her to who she dated, “making slideshows of my dating life and putting people in there that I had sat next to at a party once.”

They were “deciding that my songwriting was a trick, rather than a skill and a craft,” she said candidly to Lowe on Apple Music’s Beats 1.

“It’s a way to take a woman who is doing her job and succeeding at doing her job and making things, and in a way, it’s figuring out how to completely minimize that skill,” Swift continued.

The comment section was immediately lit up with folks who wanted to remind each other just how nasty Ellen can get. And even though there were comments from people like “That interview is sooooooo hard to watch” and “I think the sentence “I don’t wanna do it” should’ve been more than enough,” EmRata shut all that shit down by saying the thing that needed to be said.

“This is so f–ked up. She’s literally begging her to stop,” the 31-year-old model states in the comments section of a video that went viral this week on TikTok.

The Post reached out to a rep for DeGeneres, 64, for comment.

I think it’s safe to say that Ellen’s cancellation has been extended by a few months because the Swifties don’t play about their God. A bit of advice, Ellen; just delete every interview you’ve ever done and pray nobody comes across a time you made Beyonce uncomfortable. Because if you think the Swifties are crazy, you’re not ready for the honey-flavored hatred you’d receive from those folks.
