Lil Nas X Might Collaborate With The Wiggles And Parents Are Pissed
It’s been a while since Lil Nas X made headlines for corrupting the youths. That Satan lap dance was nearly two years ago. And his Grammy’s crotch grab was last spring. Is Lil Nas X losing his touch? Thankfully, the answer is no. A few days ago, the rapper posed for an Instagram pic with The Wiggles, and the mere suggestion that the Australian children’s music group might possibly collaborate with Nas sent concerned mothers into a tailspin. Won’t somebody please think of the children?!?
7News reports that 23-year-old Nas and the Wiggles crossed paths at Falls Music & Arts Festival in Melbourne, where both were performing. Lil Nas X posed with a purple Wiggles shirt for the Instagram pic, and the Wiggles captioned it, “New collab in the wind?” Initially, I took it as a joke, but even if it weren’t, it’s not like Lil Nas X wouldn’t be on his best behavior. See: his kid-friendly duet with Elmo. But it didn’t matter. People were infuriated with the picture and the caption. Here are some of the lowlights:
“Oh dear you can’t be serious? The Wiggles should remain a source of light not dark.”
“Such a shame, my daughter loved the Wiggles. I don’t see how someone who lap dance the devil in their music videos is a good candidate for working in the children’s music industry.”
“As soon as Shirley Shawn the unicorn came out it was bye bye.”
“Why Wiggles, WHY!?! You have betrayed us.”
Why Wiggles, WHY!?! Fortunately, not all of the commenters were anti-Lil Nas X. Some expressed excitement over a possible partnership. Others told the “haters,” “Karens,” and “boomers” to calm the heck down. This actually isn’t the first time Nas and the Wiggles have talked about working together. Last April, the rapper joked about getting the children’s group to co-headline his tour, and the Wiggles replied:

If this collab actually happens and it doesn’t include a pants-crotch-split and/or that one male Wiggle on the far right licking Lil Nas X’s neck, then I will go full “Karen” and demand a refund. I don’t even care if I’m watching that shit on a free YouTube video, I will get my money!
