Celine Dion Was Left Off Of Rolling Stone’s 200 Greatest Singers List And Her Fans Are Outraged

Apparently, Rolling Stone must have partied a little too hard on New Year’s Eve because they’ve clearly lost all of their common sense. Not that we needed a reminder of this after last year’s highly criticized 200 Greatest Hip Hop albums list, giving Cardi B yet another reason for an angry Twitter Tirade. Well, hopefully, Cardi isn’t a fan of Celine Dion because if so, she will be giving her first Big Mad video of the year after Rolling Stone did not include Celine’s name on their list of the 200 Greatest Singers of all time. It really is illegal to leave THE GREATEST SINGUH IN DA WORLD off of any greatest singers list.
Rolling Stone comprised a list of “greatest singers” from mumbling powerhouse Keebler elf Ariana Grande to the Queen of Bored Yodeling Rihanna, so they probably weren’t just looking for singers who could blow the roof off of the church. However, ANY list dedicated to singers should not go on without Celine because her voice goes from zero to sixty in .02 seconds flat. And Rolling Stone knew there would be some people who disagreed with their selections (aka the sane and worthy of hearing sounds), so they addressed it before going into the list.
Before you start scrolling (and commenting), keep in mind that this is the Greatest Singers list, not the Greatest Voices List. Talent is impressive; genius is transcendent. Sure, many of the people here were born with massive pipes, perfect pitch, and boundless range. Others have rougher, stranger, or more delicate instruments. As our write-up for the man who ended up at Number 112 notes, “Ozzy Osbourne doesn’t have what most people would call a good voice, but boy does he have a great one.” That could apply to more than a few people here.
Pardon my French, but what Le’ Fuq are you talking about? You can feel free to stroke anyone’s ego as much as you want to, but any greatest singers list without Celine Dion on it is like going to an IHOP with no pancakes. I’m not sure if this is their way of punishing Celine for canceling her upcoming shows due to health concerns, but without her name on it they can throw the whole list away. And I’m not the only one who thinks like this because Celine’s fans (including one-time #1 enemy of the Beyhive Diane Warren) are just as outraged as I am.
One more reason these stupid ass lists don't mean shit. Really??? A list of greatest singers @RollingStone and #CelineDion isn't on it??🙄

Rounding out the top five are Mariah Carey, Billie Holiday, Sam Cooke, Whitney Houston, and of course, at number one is (DUH) Aretha Franklin. And somewhere at that great concert hall in the sky, Whitney and Aretha are about to join supernatural forces to cut off all the power to Rolling Stone’s printers in solidarity with their sister in song Celine. Because if this is the kind of energy they’re taking into 2023 they don’t deserve to be creating any more lists ever again.
