Tory Lanez’s Father And Fans Are Really Mad That He Was Convicted Of Shooting Megan Thee Stallion

Canadian rapper Tory Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, was found guilty last week on all three felony charges against him for shooting Megan Thee Stallion. Now he faces over 20 years in prison, and the Internet has blown up with conspiracy theories about how Tory is a wrongly-accused man. One of Tory’s biggest defenders is his dad, Sonstar Peterson. Not only did Sonstar angrily give a crazed sermon where he blamed Jay-Z for his son’s conviction, but Tory’s fans have also started a petition for his appeal.

Tory was found guilty of assault with a semiautomatic handgun, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. He faces up to 22 years in prison and could be deported back to Canada. Tory’s sentencing is scheduled for January 27. TMZ says that following the verdict last week, Tory’s family let loose both inside and outside of the court. During the trial, Tory’s defense relied on focusing on Megan’s former friend and assistant, Kelsey Harris, being the potential shooter even though no evidence pointed to that except testimony from one witness, Sean Kelly, who changed his story about seeing a gun during a fight between two women. They also focused on inconclusive DNA on the weapon. His father doubled down on all of that and even suggested a conspiracy theory involving Jay-Z and the justice system.

Tory’s dad is obviously taking issue with the lack of physical evidence presented at trial… and he’s also no fan of Jay-Z…

Tory’s stepmom is also upset … and his family says the case isn’t over, so it sounds like they want Tory’s legal team to file an appeal…

Tory’s parents were also steaming mad inside the courtroom … they screamed and hollered, claiming the court system was evil before being escorted outside.

Here are some of Sonstar’s rantings. FYI: Alex Sipiro is Megan’s lawyer and Desiree Perez is the CEO of Roc Nation. via The Root:

“You wanna know exactly how I’m feeling?” he shouted as he walked directly towards the cameras. “I just stood here, in this Los Angeles County, and witnessed the worst miscarriage of justice this world has ever seen.”

“You wanna know exactly how I feel? I got some names I wanna call out.” Lanez’ father continued. “Alex Sipiro, Desiree Perez, and the whole wicked system of Roc Nation, including you Jay-Z…”

“You who say you rose from the gutter, but you have traded and bargained, and tortured the souls of young men, and you’re still doing it.” The women behind Peterson continued nodding and snapping in approval of his speech.

Lanez’ father also implied that the trial was corrupt, and that witness Sean Kelly had been manipulated by prosecutors. “I have seen so much evidence buried in this,” Peterson claimed.

Sonstar also compared himself to some sort of spiritual father.

“And I know exactly what the public out there will say,” he continued his impassioned speech. “You will say, “I say this because I’m a father.” See I am a father of thousands around the world. I am a father of my kids, but a spiritual father to many. And I don’t make stupid allegations cause I ain’t got nothing better to do… It’s not over, it’s not over… God does not lose.”

God was, once again, not able to be reached for comment. Here are some clips of Sonstar’s claims if you want to listen to that today:

Tory’s fans are also bringing the delusion. TMZ says that an online petition is now circulating asking for an appeal of the verdict–which doesn’t need a petition.

Soon after Tory was convicted for shooting Meg Thee Stallion, an online petition — Appeal Tory Lanez Verdict — surfaced. So far, 19k people have signed on, and it doesn’t look like it’s slowing down anytime soon

The petition claims Tory’s trial was a “circus of speculation, insufficient evidence, inconsistencies, and drunken memories [that] left us without much moral certainty of any truth.”

What’s more … Tory fans are attacking the jury, calling them irresponsible, claiming they rushed their decision and unjustly found Tory guilty on all 3 felony firearm counts.

The petition then lasers in on some wild claims — “This case is also about branding, marketing, label heads, and a music industry that pushes narratives based on who they have personally invested millions into. Could Jay-Z or RocNation be involved??”

Wow, Roc Nation and Jay-Z have the social and political power and connections to control legal outcomes for actual gun trials involving two celebrities, but strangely, they can’t stop Beyoncé‘s album from “leaking” early. Hmm… how bizarre!
