Cher Showed Off A Huge Diamond Ring That Her Boyfriend, Alexander Edwards, Gave Her For Christmas, But A Source Says They’re Not Engaged
Last month, 76-year-old Cher was papped holding hands with 36-year-old music producer Alexander “AE” Edwards, and a minute later, she confirmed that they’re bumping parts full-time and are together. Since Cher is Cher, I’m sure people are always throwing engagement rings at her in hopes of becoming her third husband. But on Christmas Day, Cher tweeted a picture of a gift from AE, and it looked exactly like a big, sparkly engagement ring. And since Cher is Cher, the tweet confused many who didn’t know if the ring was just a Christmas gift or an engagement. According to E! News, Cher’s accountants don’t need to ring her up to say, “Schnap out of it!” because she is not engaged.
People says that Cher was gifted a sparkly new ring so bright it replaced Rudolph’s nose as the thing that guided Santa during his annual gift-giving flight across the world. And she quickly shared the huge rock with her Twitter followers to let them know that the ring came from AE:
On Christmas day, the pop icon, 76 shared a photo of a dazzling, engagement-like diamond ring on Twitter and expressed that it was a gift from her boyfriend, Alexander “AE” Edwards.
“THERE R NO WORDS,” she wrote in the caption.
The photo quickly garnered buzz across social media about the couple’s engagement status, causing Cher to repost the picture only a few hours later, explaining, “I posted this cause his nails are so cool.”

It was a bittersweet moment for Cher because wished she could show the ring to her late mother, Georgia Holt. Page Six reports the first person Cher wanted to share the news with was her late mother, who passed away earlier this month.
“Woke up Min ago,& 1st thing …B4 I Opened my eyes,I Thought…I Need 2 Run To Moms & Show Her my ring…’she Loves Diamonds,’” the “Believe” singer tweeted on Monday.
“Before I realized it..I Had Little Tear,But Im sure this is natural,” she continued. “Bet Moms ears were burning Last Nite.We were telling Stories about her,WHAT A WOMAN.”

As mentioned above, a source tells E! that “they are not engaged” and the ring is “just a beautiful gift.”
So Alexander Edwards is probably not going to become Mr. Cher anytime soon and that ring was just a little gift. And honestly, AE should give her a diamond ring a day for the privilege of getting to bask in the magnificent glory of Cher!
