Mr. Lanez, 30, was convicted of three felony counts: assault with a semiautomatic handgun, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. He faces more than 20 years in prison and could be deported.

Jurors have begun deliberations at the trial of Canadian rapper Tory Lanez, who allegedly shot and wounded Megan Thee Stallion in 2020. 30-year-old Tory, who chose not to testify and maybe fell asleep in court yesterday, faces 22 years in prison for three gun felonies. The verdict will probably come today. Last night, 27-year-old Megan’s boyfriend, Pardison Fontaine, took to his Instagram Stories to share a message of support for women, “especially ones of color,” who have suffered injustice. He writes that he wouldn’t wish Megan’s situation on anyone. Not even Tory? Wow, that’s class.

Here’s what 32-year-old Pardison wrote on Instagram. via Billboard:

“To any woman especially ones of color that has suffered an injustice I feel for you.. when you do find the courage to speak up.. it seems you will be ridiculed.. your credibility will [be] questioned.. your entire past will be held under a magnifying glass.. in an instant you can go from victim to defendant in the eyes of the public,” Pardi wrote in an Instagram Story Thursday evening (Dec. 22).

He continued, “To any one with a daughter sister mother niece or aunt.. I pray for their protection.. I pray for their covering.. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.”

Megan and Pardison celebrated their second anniversary in October. The day after, Megan squashed rumors they were getting married, tweeting, “Lol as nice as last night was we are not engaged”. While testifying in court last week, Megan shared just how excruciating her experience has been since (allegedly) being shot in the foot by Tory. She said,“I wish he would have just shot and killed me if I would have known I was going to go through this torture.”

Global News reports that yesterday, the jury of seven women and five men deliberated for just over three hours after hearing the last part of the defense’s closing argument that began a day earlier. They didn’t reach a verdict and returned today to continue deliberations. People think that the verdict will probably come today. Makes sense. Wrap that shit up before the holidays! Let’s hope the verdict comes soon so Megan can find some peace. And isn’t that what Christmas is all about? Knowing the little fucker who (allegedly) shot you in the foot is finally facing some consequences…
