Oprah Went Viral For Her Response When Asked For Christmas Gift Ideas That Are Under $100
When you’re as rich as Oprah Winfrey, you tend to forget that purchasing diamond-encrusted toothpicks for your favorite folks during the holidays isn’t necessarily a normal thing. And while hiding her eyes behind a pair of sunglasses that probably cost more than what we have in our savings accounts she was reminded of this fact after a video went viral on Tik Tok when TMZ’s Colin Drummond asked what gift he should give his ailing mother. Oprah countered with a gift that was in the $100 range, and when Colin informed her that was too much, the look of horror on her face basically screamed, “If you ain’t got no money take your broke ass HOME!”
The New York Post reports Oprah was out and about enjoying the glamorous life when her day was ruined while encountering one of the poor. There’s a viral video now circulating the halls of the internet where Colin asks Oprah what he should purchase for his mother, and she immediately scaled her thoughts down a few billion to appease his dust-filled pockets. But Oprah’s response goes from assured to appalled once finding out that for some people, $100 may as well be $1,000.
In a video posted to TikTok that has topped 651,000 views, Winfrey, 68, recommended that Colin Drummond buy a jewelry box that she included on her annual holiday gift round-up. Drummond had told the former talk show star that he was looking for a gift for his ailing mom.
“You know, a wonderful thing is that jewelry box that I had on ‘Favorite Things,’” Winfrey suggested to Drummond, who works as TMZ’s Washington bureau chief, according to LinkedIn.
“That’s too expensive for me,” he responded before Winfrey fired back.
“No, it’s not — it’s really not,” she replied. “It’s, like, a hundred and some or dollars.”
The content creator then replied that he was hoping to purchase something less expensive and within his budget.
“Lower than $100,” said the TV personality, who seemed taken aback before Drummond explained that his mother preferred sentimental gifts.
Since her brain couldn’t fathom purchasing anything outside of the annual guide of Cheap Gifts For The 1% (which I’m sure she writes personally), Oprah offered a less expensive option by suggesting he should simply give her a card with the ten things he loves the most about her.

Colin Drummond knew what he was doing when he asked Oprah for gift ideas! But I want to see him ask Gwyneth Paltrow for gift ideas under $100 next. Either her brain would break on the spot, or she’d snap at her bodyguards to quickly whisk her away before the stench of “poor” rubs off on her.
