Justin Bieber Says H&M Didn’t Get His Permission Or Approval Before Releasing Merch With His Face On It
Usually, when we hear about a fight breaking out over Justin Bieber, it’s rumored to be between his current wife, Hailey Bieber, and his ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez. But they’ve buried the hatchet (for now). So, Justin Bieber had to take the fighting over Justin Bieber into his own hands because he’s currently feuding with H&M over a collection of apparel they just released with his image on it; and he says they didn’t get the OK from him, and no one should buy it. Done!
According to People, Justin took to his Instagram stories yesterday to condemn H&M’s new merch that features lyrics from his Justice album and his sullen mug in two separate posts. Hopefully, the drywall in his house took cover because you know how angry, perpetual adolescents do.
The “Peaches” singer, 28, took to his Instagram Story on Monday to protest new clothing and items by the brand that features his likeness — including a sweater dress with a black and white picture of his face and a canvas bag with different photos of him printed on the front among other pieces.
“I didn’t approve any of the merch collection that they put up at H&M… all without my permission and approval,” Bieber wrote. “SMH I wouldn’t buy it if I were you.”
In a second post he slammed the “H&M merch” calling it “trash” and urged his fans not to buy the items.
Here are his stories and a sampling of the H&M collection that was bound to hit the clearance rack and then end up in donation bins at some point anyway because this ain’t no H&M x Balmain situation:

H&M says they’ve done nothing wrong, but if you search on the site for the merch, the results come up empty (though they do still show up in a Google search).
H&M told PEOPLE “as with all other licensed products and partnerships, H&M followed proper approval procedures.”
Even though Justin had to cancel the remainder of his Justice tour that began in February 2022 due to health issues, he has his own merch for sale on his website and has his own clothing line, Drew. So it makes sense that he wouldn’t want H&M making money “Off My (his) Face.”
Bieber has his own set of merch for sale on his official website, including hoodies, sweatpants and t-shirts that feature his image and references to lyrics from his latest album Justice.
He also has a separate clothing line, which he launched in 2019 called Drew, a nod to his middle name.
If Justin’s Instagram Stories aren’t intimidating enough to settle all of this, he needs to enlist his terrifying former neighbor, Judge Judy, to set H&M straight. And maybe they could find another, less obvious way to pay homage to the Biebz–like a capsule collection of comically large menswear that looks like you stole it from the back of your daddy’s closet for that “stumbling into an event that no one knows how you got an invitation to” lewk.
