Open Post: Hosted By Lady Gaga Doing The “Bloody Wednesday” Challenge On TikTok
The “Bloody Wednesday” challenge, where TikTokers attempt to recreate Jenna Ortega’s deadpan dance sequence from Netflix’s smash show, Wednesday, has been obnoxiously overrunning feeds for a bit now. Celebs and normies alike have been begging for someone, anyone to lie to them about how fun and great at dancing they are by half-heartedly attempting to hit the moves that Wednesday busted on the show to Goo Goo Muck by The Cramps. But a variation of the trend has people setting the choreography to Bloody Mary by Lady Gaga, so Mother Monster decided to give the challenge a try.
For those unfamiliar, here are the original Wednesday dance moves, which Jenna came up with on her own:
Gaga decided to take a timeout from whatever Oscar scheming she was probably doing at the time to complete the “Bloody Wednesday” challenge herself after first replying to the official Wednesday Twitter account when they mentioned her song.
The trend has had fans of both Lady Gaga and Jenna Ortega’s Netflix series “Wednesday” dancing to a sped up version of Gaga’s “Bloody Mary” track, with choreography inspired by Wednesday’s quirky dance from the record-breaking streaming show.
The video comes a week after the “House of Gucci” star sent a message of support to the fictional Addams Family member on Twitter. “Slay Wednesday! You’re welcome at Haus of Gaga anytime (and bring Thing with you, we love paws around here 😉),” she tweeted at the show’s official account.
Her sweet message was actually in response to the show’s celebration of the “Bloody Wednesday” movement. “I see you doing my dance moves to @LadyGaga’s Bloody Mary,” the page posted, “I understand she is followed by little monsters. I approve.”
Here’s the tweet exchange:

And so Gaga took to TikTok on Thursday to try her claws at it.
In her black and white clip, the 13-time Grammy Award-winner first showed herself getting into character as she applied white goth-inspired makeup. Gaga then slipped into a frilly pair of platform Mary Janes, plaid knee socks, black shorts, a black blazer and a matching black shirt fitted with a frilly white collar reminiscent of Wednesday’s own iconic look. Her hair was also put into two strategically placed space buns.
She paired the getup with Wednesday’s emotionless gaze, as she mimicked the viral dance moves … simply captioning the video, “Bloody Wednesday.”
And here’s that:

If the person whose song is part of the challenge decides to complete the challenge, does that mean they win so it can finally be over? Because, personally, I’m ready for higher-stakes TikTok challenges. Bring on “The White Lotus S2 tender-leaping challenge;” that theme song slapped.
