Bam Margera Is In The Hospital With Pneumonia And Has Been Placed On A Ventilator
Bam Margera has had a particularly chaotic run in his time in the “doing dumb shit” arena by doing so much dumb shit that he catapulted himself out of the Jackass category. Last we heard from him, he was court-ordered to attend rehab, left rehab and went on the run, and then went back to rehab. Since then, though, he’s been partying it up while emboldened by an ill-informed “Free Bam” movement. But, right now, Bam has no other choice than to slow down because he developed pneumonia that’s been further complicated by COVID and is on a ventilator in the hospital.
TMZ says that although Bam’s on a vent in a California ICU for his double whammy of COVID and pneumonia, he’s in stable condition.
Sources close to the situation tell us Bam was hospitalized in San Diego earlier this week. He then tested positive for Covid while in the hospital … and since then we’re told doctors decided to put him on a ventilator. He’s being treated in ICU, but his condition is stable.
Bam has struggled with addiction for a while, but in recent months especially, he’s been spinning out of control. He met a lawyer in rehab who’s been attempting to skate him out of court orders. On top of that, he has a faction of fans who mistakenly thought Bam was under a Britney Spears-esque conservatorship; and they’ve been egging on his bad behavior with their “Free Bam” movement ever since. His family finally had to step in and make a statement to clarify that he’s in a medical guardianship situation to save his life because they’ve been receiving death threats.
Our sources say during one of his stints in rehab, he befriended an attorney who convinced him he could get him out of the court-ordered treatment and “free Bam.”
Since then, we’ve seen him partying it up in Atlanta in September, and hitting Las Vegas the following month. We’re told Bam never completed his court order and many people close to him were concerned for the former ‘Jackass’ star.
Our sources say the so-called “Free Bam Movement” — which was fueled by online speculation his family put him in a conservatorship similar to Britney Spears — really confused Bam and hurt his recovery process.
Here’s the statement his family had to make a few months ago so Bam’s rabid fans (he has those in the year 2022?) would maybe chill out and stop enabling him:
Hopefully, Bam gets well, and this hospital stay is a wake-up call to him so that he can get back to getting his kicks by super gluing his hands to his dad’s hairy titties.
