Olivia Wilde Wore A Nipple Baring “Revenge Dress” To The People’s Choice Awards
Not really sure why, but 2022 has marked the return of the Revenge Dress, whatever that is. At least it’s a less gruesome resurgence than the Revenge Body Khloe Kardashian tried to bring back post-Tristan Thompson, whatever that means. But there is a time and a place for a Revenge Dress and apologies to Olivia Wilde, but it is not the People’s Choice Awards, whatever those are. However, according to E! News, Olivia channeled Princess Diana last night by having “her very own revenge dress movement” when she stepped out on the red carpet with her nipples showing for her first second red carpet appearance since breaking up with Prince Harry (Styles) three years weeks ago. Now don’t get me wrong, showing your nipples is a great way to get revenge, but the PCAs? Against Him? Honey, no. Generally speaking, that angry bearded man with the gloves in that GIF is always right, but in this case, I’m gonna have to disagree and say that, at the People’s Choice Awards, for once, the rent is too damn low!
Olivia was in attendance to accept an award for the Drama Movie of 2022 for Don’t Worry Darling, which really let’s you know the game is rigged because if The People were actually the ones doing the choosing, it would have been the Movie Drama of 2022 award. But I guess publicists are technically people, and they gotta eat too so… E! News reports:

The Booksmart director made quite the entrance at the Dec. 6 awards show by having her very own revenge dress moment, which comes nearly three weeks after she and Harry Styles broke up.
For the ceremony, Olivia sizzled in a completely see-through outfit by Christian Dior.
The lingerie look was plucked straight from the brand’s 2023 ready-to-wear collection and featured a plunging neckline with a tiered, voluminous skirt and all-over intricate lace detailing. She accessorized with a gold hardware-embellished belt, bold smudged eyeliner and effortless loose waves.
Olivia, whose Don’t Worry Darling film took home the award for The Drama Movie of 2022, seemed to channel Princess Diana, who invented the revenge dress in 1994 after wearing a sexy LBD when her estranged husband King Charles III (then a prince) admitted to having an affair.
Speaking of British royalty, Harry, the Prince of Lapels, was also nominated for several People’s Choice Awards including Drama Movie Star of 2022, which he lost to Austin Butler for Elvis (and to Florence Pugh for Movie Drama Star of 2022, per The actual People) and The Male Artist of 2022, which he won (but lost where it really counts to Pete Davidson for Male Pick Up Artist of 2022). However, Harry was not in attendance; instead, he was in Brazil showing off his award for Spit Take Artist of 2022 to Chris Pine. Page Six reports:

Harry Styles and Chris Pine were photographed hugging in Brazil on Tuesday, three months after a viral video left fans convinced that the singer spit on his “Don’t Worry Darling” co-star’s lap.
The former One Direction member, 28, wore a black shirt with his hair styled in a top knot, while the “Jack Ryan” star, 42, was all smiles in a white tee as they drank with friends.
Wilde and Styles have since called it quits, with news breaking of their split last month after two years together.
The “O.C.” alum, who shares son Otis, 8, and daughter Daisy, 6, with her ex-fiancé Jason Sudeikis, made headlines Tuesday for rocking a nipple-baring Dior dress at the People’s Choice Awards red carpet.
Many social media users are referring to Wilde’s daring fashion choice as her “revenge dress.”

Sure, I guess many social media users are also people, but as we know, many people are real dumb. A week following their split, we heard that it was amicable and that “Harry didn’t dump Olivia, or vice versa,” but that Olivia was “disappointed.” However, The New York Daily News reports that Harry was the one who did the dumping “because he was so unhappy with the negative press” surrounding DWD and that the “constant stories about Florence Pugh and Wilde fighting drove him nuts.” They also report that Harry “is not ready to play daddy to her kids,” who she shares with nanny whisperer Jason Sudeikis. So maybe that explains why Olivia’s now all “did somebody say, REVENGE?!?”
