Iggy Azalea Says She Sold Some Of Her Master Recordings And Never Has To Work Again

The insufferable centaur-assed rapper with an appropriated patois found nowhere near her native Australia, Iggy Azalea, bestowed upon us an early Thanksgiving miracle by hinting at the fact that she may be hanging up her White Chicks cosplay and ceasing her assault on our ears with any new material forever. Of course, she’d already once farted out that she was done with music but then tagged herself back in despite no one asking her to. Still, she reportedly recently just sold some of her master recordings and catalog in a deal lucrative enough for her to retire so we may be in luck this time.

According to The Daily Mail, Iggy sealed a deal with Domain Capital in which they’ll now own the rights to the two or three songs of hers that anyone’s ever heard. Someone on Twitter–who must have no other problems to ponder–expressed concern about Iggy giving up control, and Iggy responded to clarify the details of the deal, assert how rich she is now, and shade all of us normies whose little brains couldn’t possibly grasp the intricacies of music industry business deals.

The 32-year-old rapper sold a portion of her catalog so she ‘doesn’t have to work another day in her life’.

Iggy Azalea has hinted at plans to retire after she sold her master recordings and publishing catalog to Domain Capital in an eight-figure deal. The Problem hit-maker made the confession as she responded to a fan questioning the sale of her recordings on Twitter.

‘I just hope she doesn’t end up like Taylor [Swift] (no shade at all, just using it as an example),’ the fan wrote.

Iggy responded: ‘Taylor did not profit from that sale. I sold a portion of my catalog to who I wanted, for an amount that means I don’t have to work another day in my life.’

Here’s the whole exchange. Perhaps Iggy can find a new career path as an MBA professor since our pea brains can’t grasp the difference between Taylor Swift’s impugned deal and hers:

Someone asked her why she decided to sell now. Apparently, she has a larger business she wants to invest in:

She then flexed on a hater from a decade ago:

Iggy remained tight-lipped on what kind of business she’s planning to invest in, but since she’s a seasoned blackfisher and it seems like that market is expanding, I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if it was a full-body bronzer pudding line!
