Eva Mendes’ New Tattoo May Hint That She’s Married To Ryan Gosling

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes have been together since 2011, when they co-starred in the movie The Place Beyond the Pines. They have two daughters: Esmerelda, 8, and Amada, 6. For a celebrity couple, these two have kept their relationship pretty private. Back in 2016, rumors swirled that they got secret-married, and last year, Eva was papped wearing a ring on her marriage finger. But they’ve never confirmed or denied the gossip. Well, let’s see if they keep mum this time: Page Six reports that 48-year-old Eva’s wrist tattoo may be proof that she and 42-year-old Ryan are officially husband and wife. Eva took to Instagram to show off the ink, which spells out “de gosling.” Translated from Spanish: “of gosling.” Either Eva belongs to a baby goose, or she and Ryan are maybe/possibly hitched!

Page Six explains the tattoo like this:

In Hispanic culture, married women often add their husband’s last name to their own, using “de” — or “of” — to separate the two monikers. So Mendes might go by Eva Mendes de Gosling after marrying the “Drive” star, 42.

Fans couldn’t get enough, with one commenting, “The tattoo!!!” and another calling Mendes and Gosling the “cutest couple in the world.”

Here’s Eva’s tattoo:

Now, a couple’s tattoo is hardly proof that Ryan and Eva made things official. And, apparently, this isn’t even a new tattoo. Eva’s posted pictures of it before, as far back as 2020. But this particular pic is making headlines because a) the gossips are desperate, and b) Eva’s never featured it so prominently on social media. Um, no offense to Eva or her tattoo artist, but you can clearly tell that’s an old tattoo. I should know: I have a fuzzy old cat tattoo on my ankle that gets shittier-looking every year. In 40 years, psychologists will be able to use it for Rorschach tests.
