Lea Michele Had To Temporarily Pull Out Of “Funny Girl” Due To A Back Injury

I don’t know who is cursing whom at this stage but something funny is going on on the Funny Girl set. The messy production went through hell this year when Beanie Feldstein had a will they-won’t they relationship with the famous play. She finally decided to quit the bitch and give the role to the greatest STAH that’s ever graced the Broadway stage: Lea Michele. Lea took over and immediately turned the ship around, making it a box office smash and getting great reviews. NOTHING will stop her quest from being known as THE one and only Fanny Brice (sorry, Barbra!). Unless it’s a back injury.

Someone scour the stage floor for traces of baby oil. This is sabotage! Or maybe Lea’s back is just in its mid-to-late 30s. According to Yahoo, Lea had to pull out from Friday’s performance thanks to an injury.

Lea Michele had to miss a performance of ‘Funny Girl’ after sustaining a back injury.

The 36-year-old actress is starring as comedienne Fanny Brice in a Broadway revival of the classic musical but had to pull out of the show on Friday (11.11.22) just two hours before curtain up and promised she will be back tomorrow.

She [posted]: “Hey everyone. Unfortunately, I will be out of Funny Girl tonight. I hurt my back and my doctor is requiring me to rest tonight or else I would be there. I will be back tomorrow. Love to all.”

The production team quickly informed scalpers that their tickets dropped in value:

Someone tell Chris Colfer that he can clear his schedule and finally see Funny Girl in peace! This isn’t the first time Lea has had to deny the audience her award-wishing performance. She reluctantly handed over the very clean Funny Girl wig to understudy Julie Benko when she caught COVID and has done so once again. Hopefully for everyone, Lea will recover quickly, or we may see her ignore her doctor’s orders and roll onto the stage in the Hannibal Lecter back brace (sans muzzle). Or worse yet, we could be subjected to another tribute op-ed from Jonathan Groff threatening everyone to boycott the show or else the ghost of Lea’s mafioso grandfather Porky will break your legs!
