GO BACK TO NEW JERSEY! Dr. Oz Defeated By John Fetterman In Pennsylvania Senate Race

Dr. Mehmet Oz gave up his talk show and moved from New Jersey to Pennsylvania all so that he could run for the Republican Senate seat as a Trump-supporting Republican. During his talk show days, Dr. Oz was obsessed with analyzing shit, but he was blind to the massive shit show that was his campaign, which featured him giving a speech near Hitler’s car and facing accusations that his past scientific experiments took the lives of hundreds of dogs. Thankfully, Oz’s whole campaign has been tossed into the toilet where it belongs because he lost. NBC News says that once all the votes are counted, Oz’s opponent, Democrat John Fetterman is projected to win the Senate seat in Pennsylvania. Well, you know what, this may (PLEASE GOD!) be the end of Dr. Oz’s political aspirations, but at least he can look forward to Snooki welcoming him back to his home with a good, old-fashioned New Jersey-style welcome!

John was off the senate campaign trail for three whole months after suffering a stroke, but even that wasn’t enough to give Dr. Oz, who was constantly roasted for being from New Jersey, the win. Oz spent a shitton of his own money ($22 million!) running for this seat, but he still held high unfavorability ratings heading into Election Day. How could he not, he’s positively wretched. Even Oprah, who helped make Dr. Oz famous, endorsed John. So Oz was shown the door and can head back to New Jersey, land of the drunken shore and the top-3 rowdiest Real Housewives franchises:

Pennsylvania’s Democratic Lt. Gov. John Fetterman will defeat Republican Dr. Mehmet Oz in a pivotal Senate race that could prove a decisive blow in the battle for control of the upper chamber of Congress, NBC News projects.

With 90% of the vote counted, Fetterman led Oz 49.4% to 48.1%, a margin of about 66,000 votes, according to NBC.

Fetterman will succeed retiring GOP Sen. Pat Toomey, moving a Republican-held Senate seat into Democratic hands.

John tweeted a thank you to his supporters and the people of Pennyslvania:

According to CNN, Oz conceded to John this morning:

Oz called Fetterman to concede the race at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to Fetterman spokesman Joe Calvello.

And while Oz hasn’t posted anything on his Twitter about his loss yet, people are taking victory laps in his comments:

Dr. Oz’s political campaign may have been a failure, but I think that he could potentially have a bright future on The Masked Singer. If people didn’t know who he was, I’m sure more people would be interested in voting for him, and as a washed-up celebrity, it’s the perfect avenue for him!
