Tom Cruise, the King, Queen, Prince, Princess, Duke, Duchess, and (insert every other royal title here) of Scientology, apparently was “secret friends” with THE QUEEN of England before her death at 96 in September. Not only does he play a special agent with super stealth skills in the Mission: Impossible franchise, but apparently, he treats his special friendships with a lot of secrecy as well. Sources claim Tommy and THE QUEEN (not to be confused with Tommy and THE QUEEF, aka Tom Cruise and David Miscavige) became friends over the summer. Queen Elizabeth’s husband, Prince Philip, died last year, so shameless Tommy was probably trying to woo THE QUEEN into signing on to be his next wife!
According to Page Six, THE QUEEN was looking forward to seeing Tom jump on all of the couches in Buckingham Palace during her Platinum Jubilee, and Tom was more than willing to attend because he’s admired her for years. However, due to her failing health, she wasn’t given the opportunity to place her hand in his and demand he kiss the ring, so instead, they had to make other arrangements.
Cruise, 60, appeared as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, marking her 70th anniversary on the throne, but the ailing royal was plagued by mobility issues and unable to meet him.
“The Queen let it be known that she was really disappointed not to have met Tom at the pageant, so he was invited to have a special tour of Windsor Castle with everything laid on for him. Afterwards, just the two of them had tea together,” the source said.
The visit was a success, with Cruise given the chance to fire a ceremonial gun.
“She loved seeing him and they really hit it off, so much so that she invited him back for lunch. He was even allowed to fly in by helicopter,” the source added.
I know I’m not the only one picturing him doing a triple axle off the wing of the helicopter and landing in front of the microphone to address the crowd like the action hero he thinks he is. The two of them had a chance to gorge on tea and crumpets with plans for another playdate in the future, but sadly that didn’t happen. And that’s the true tragedy here since he spoke so highly of THE QUEEN back in May when he stated, “I think she is someone who has tremendous dignity and I admire her devotion.” Translation: “I WANNA BE THE NEXT BOND!” but unfortunately, he started his campaign just a little too late.
