Open Post: Hosted By Guy Fieri’s Parody Of Taylor Swift’s “Midnights” Album Cover

Taylor Swift’s new album Midnights is out, much to the chagrin of John Mayer and ex-boyfriends of Swifties everywhere. It’s a great time to be a Taylor stan, but for those of you who are less pumpkin spicy and more chicken wing spicy, Guy Fieri has you covered. Get your ears ready for a ride into Flavortown because our favorite Food Network host teased the cover of his own never-to-be-released album aptly titled Flavors. It’s clearly a parody of Taylor’s Midnights, but I’m far more excited at the prospect of hearing Guy croon a song called “Key Lime Karma” than anything Taylor’s come up with!

Taylor was teasing the album for a while and posted the cover for Midnights earlier this month. The artwork featured the track listing and TayTay staring intently at a flame coming from a lighter. It’s very Valencia filter Instagram stuff.

The Swifties have probably already tattooed that album cover onto the inside of their eyelids, but it also caught the attention of Guy Fieri, bizarrely enough. It even inspired him to release his vision of a Fieri album, complete with titles for would-be songs if ever he got into the booth.

How has Guy not gotten a record deal yet? “Hungry…?” and “Macaroon”? These songs would speak to millions more people than Taylor’s ever could. This album would be a number-one hit in every TGI Friday’s and Chili’s across the country! And he doesn’t even need a scarf to hype it up. Sadly, for now, we’ll just have to settle for listening to Taylor warbling “Midnight Rain” while dreaming of Guy serenading us with “Midnight Snack.” Sometimes life just isn’t fair.
