Selena Gomez And Hailey Bieber Posed Together At An Event To Show That There’s “No Bad Feelings Between Them Anymore”

30-year-old Selena Gomez and 25-year-old Hailey Bieber have been “feuding” for years, and it’s for a terrible good reason–they both were romantically linked to the same man; Hailey’s current husband, 28-year-old Justin Bieber. Since I lived through Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan fighting over Aaron Carter, I have absolutely seen dumber shit than this, but the feud may have been put to rest… again. The thing is, Hailey and Selena have spoken many times over the years about how there’s no bad blood between them, but that doesn’t stop their fanbases from attacking each other and both celebs relentlessly. So now that the duo has taken a photo together at an event, will the fandoms let each other rest? Spoiler Alert: I don’t think so.

Quick backstory: Selena and Justin dated on and off for years before he got with Hailey in 2014-ish. Justin and Hailey broke up in 2016, and he got back with Selena in October 2017. Justin and Selena broke up in March 2018, and he got back with Hailey the same year. There were some accusations of overlap, or that Hailey “stole” Justin from Selena, but Hailey has denied such things. On the Call Her Daddy podcast (aka Joe Rogan for women), she flat out denied any overlap and said that it is “not [her] character to mess with someone’s relationship,” and says it’s “all love” between all of them. Selena has also often told her fans to back down and that there’s no drama with Hailey, via People:

“I will never, ever be by that. So please be kind to everyone. It doesn’t matter what the situation is, if you’re my fans don’t be rude to anybody, please.”

In a recent TikTok Live following Hailey’s interview, Gomez also explained that she is “all about kind words” and that ultimately, “words matter,” adding: “I think some of the things that I don’t even need to be aware of are just vile and disgusting. And it’s not fair because no one ever should be spoken to in the manner that I’ve seen.”

And so this moment of in-person peace and civility at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures’ 2nd annual gala on Saturday night in Los Angeles was a long time coming. A source tells Entertainment Tonight that Selena and Hailey joined forces in pictures to show fans that they don’t hate each other. And The Biebs approved of the stunt:

A source tells ET that by posing for the photo, Hailey and Selena wanted to show the world that “there’s no beef or bad feelings” between them.

“Selena and Hailey were both super chill together at the Academy Museum Gala. They’ve both moved on and are happy in their own lives,” the source shared. “They wanted to show the world that there’s no beef or bad feelings between them anymore.”

As for how Justin feels about his wife and ex posing for a pic together, another tells ET that the pop singer is “happy” they can all move on.

“Justin is very happy with the fact that they can all move on and that it can be peaceful between everyone,” the source said.

Here are the fateful photographs!

How is this Herstory? Are these actually two drag queens in amazing-quality wigs competing on RuPaul’s Drag Race? Otherwise, I think Mama RuPaul has a trademark lawsuit to file against an E! social media intern for this. But considering that when Hailey just mentions Selena by name, the Selenators drag her, I can only imagine that this photo together will enflame more than it calms. I can already picture the fans writing, “Stay away from her! Don’t touch the queen!”, among their regular death threats.
