Open Post: Hosted By The Chihuahua With Her Own “Emotional Support Dog” By Her Side During Hernia Treatments
As if it weren’t already apparent that dogs are too pure for this world, a chihuahua named Gue, who undergoes weekly treatments for a back hernia, and her supportive main bitch, Chew, have taken TikTok by storm after Chew showed that she DOES have the chops to be an emotional support dog to someone, despite her adorably dumb ass failing the test a bunch of times.
Gue and Chew’s owner says that a couple of years back, Gue started having trouble walking and was diagnosed with a hernia. Surgery wasn’t an option, so ever since, Gue has been getting more pampering treatments than a stressed KarJenner. via Newsweek:
Owner Giulia was told her chihuahua Gue had a back hernia two years ago and that surgery was not recommended. In the time since, Gue has been receiving regular acupuncture, massage, and laser therapy. Sounds scary, but Gue has had her very own “support dog” through it all, in the form of canine sibling Chew.
And even though regular massage therapy appointments sound like the opposite of something requiring support, Chew is along for the ride to supervise her needy friend Gue’s healing, and the TikTok showing Chew sniffing at Gue, and her precious perpetual derp tongue went viral.
Gue and Chew’s supportive relationship was shared online in a TikTok video that has since captured over 1.7 million hearts in the form of likes. “As you can see, at every session her emotional support dog Chew is present,” Giulia said in the video. “Chew is not a certified service dog as she failed her exams several times, but her presence during these sessions has been essential for Gue’s healing process.”
In the clip, Gue could be seen having acupuncture needles placed across the head and body, while Chew hilariously watched on and sniffed Gue during the treatment.

Every dog needs a loyal friend like Chew, whether it’s to hang out at acupuncture, do hood rat stuff, or pull a Parent Trap at the groomers. Although Chew is No Dr. Moose, if Ye can have an honorary doctorate, just give this bitch an ornamental support dog certificate.
