The Horror Movie “Terrifier 2” Is Causing People To Faint And Vomit In Theaters
The next time you step into your local cinema and get that sticky floor feeling with every step, be aware that it might not be spilled Coca-Cola. There’s a new film out for the Halloween season, and it’s supposedly getting everyone sick all over the place. Just when you thought it was safe to go back to the movies! The horror flick in question is Terrifier 2, and according to viewers (or the press team, depending on how much you believe this stuff), is so graphic that some people have passed out or thrown up on themselves. Ah, the smell of sawdust and last night’s chicken pot pie really adds to the date night ambiance.
Terrifier 2 is the sequel to Terrifier (shocking!) and is about a killer clown who kills people. Look, most horror movies aren’t known for their deep, complex topics. T2 began screening in theaters last week, which led to legions of people reportedly crossing themselves while exclaiming, “Dios mio!” before tossing their lunch. As the New York Post puts it:
The crowd-funded indie horror flick — which will play in over 850 theaters nationwide after initially airing last week — is the “Uncut and Uncompromised” sequel to “Terrifier,” a film about a psychotic killer clown named Art the Clown, Bloody Disgusting reported. In this blood-splattered sequel, the homicidal harlequin gets resurrected by a malevolent entity, whereupon he terrorizes a teenage girl and her brother on Halloween.
This blood-soaked slasher sequel might’ve even been too effective. Following its release, viewers flocked to social media to share stories of how “T2” made them faint and even literally lose their lunch.
“The guy behind me passed out cold n crashed into my chair,” said another. “Another guy left because he didn’t feel good, I overheard him say and walking out theatre door I heard a guy puking hard & loud in the bathroom.”
One aghast horror fanatic wrote, “Terrifier 2 is so gory I puked in my popcorn.”
Here’s one of the tweets that has gotten some social traction. Nice of the guy to call out his friend like this!
#Terrifier2 my friend passed out and the theater called an ambulance. Highly recommended pic.twitter.com/DTrWjpeMO4

The Exorcist perfected this marketing ploy, and the vomit stayed INSIDE the screen! Every year, some horror movie tries this tactic and whether or not it lands depends on how authentic the social media posts sound. But if the director Damien Leone is anyone to go by, the faintings and puke are totally real (never mind that some viewers were given branded barf bags before the movie).
To everyone saying that reports of people fainting and puking during screenings of Terrifier 2 is a marketing ploy, I swear on the success of the film it is NOT. These reports are 100% legit. I wish we were smart enough to think of that! 😋 But then again we didn’t need to😉

Apparently, people love to watch movies that cause bodily distress because the film has already racked up $1.4 million at the box office. Not bad for an indie flick made on a budget of $250,000. The sickness bags were worth it! You can watch the trailer for the pukiest film of 2022 here. Just be forewarned that there’s blood, and I guess if you’ve just eaten a ham sandwich, digest that shit first.
