Scamming Fake German Heiress, Anna Sorokin, Has Been Released From Jail But Banned From Using All Forms Of Social Media

Anna “Anna Delvey” Sorokin–the faux-German (actually Russian), faux-trust fund baby who scammed several businesses and rich New Yorkers out of money under the guise of paying them back once she opened a social club she was going to call “The Anna Delvey Foundation”–served out her jail sentence after she was convicted of not being rich enough to be allowed to fuck other people out of their money, and eventually ended up being detained again as she tried to fight with ICE about being deported. But, everyone hold on to your wallets; Anna has been set free, but with a sentence that is probably worse than death to a superficial social climber like her: she has to stay in her house and has been banned from using all forms of social media as a condition of her release.

An immigration judge ruled that Anna can leave ICE detention today, but hit her where it really hurts by consigning her to house arrest and taking away all of the mediums she uses to troll her imaginary adoring fans. via The New York Post:

The 31-year-old con artist, and the subject of the Netflix show “Inventing Anna,” has won release from the Orange County prison where she has spent the last 17 months in ICE custody as she fights her deportation.

…After she was released from prison for good behavior in 2021, she was rearrested by ICE agents and had been detained in an Orange County facility ever since

Sorokin, who for years duped New York socialites by pretending she was a wealthy heiress named Anna Delvey, must remain under 24-hour house arrest with electronic monitoring in addition to posting $10,000 bail, according to the judge’s order.

She is also prohibited from accessing all social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook TikTok and Instagram — where she has 1 million followers.

But did she “wire” the court system that $10,000? They better check their account. Uncle Sam always gets his revenge, henny, so the government argued that Anna should stay locked up so she wouldn’t have the chance to snatch that top hat/powdered wig combo right off of his head once she was free, but the judge sided with Anna.

The government argued that Sorokin should remain locked up as she posed a threat to the community.

Her lawyer, Duncan Levin, said in a statement that he was “extremely grateful by the court’s decision to release Sorokin.

“The judge rightfully recognized that Anna is not a danger to the community.  While there are still a few hurdles to jump through on her release conditions, Anna is thrilled to be getting out so she can focus on appealing her wrongful conviction.”

With no Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, or TikTok, how will an innocent, unfortunate ragamuffin like Anna promote her scam titty-themed law firm or hawk her janky prison art? She won’t even be able to enter Kim Kardashian and Scott Disick’s sham lotteries in an attempt to finally amass a fortune. So, if you see a shadowy figure with an indeterminate accent lurking on Google+ and casually writing on people’s profiles that they look poor, just mind ya business.
