Lynne Spears Apologized To Britney Spears On Instagram And Asked To Be Unblocked

Kevin, Preston, and Jayden Federline; Jamie Spears; Jamie Lynn Spears, and Lynne Spears have all been featured players on the Lazy Susan of Britney’s Biggest Botherers (with a guest appearance from Jason Alexander) even now that she’s twirled free of her years-long conservatorship. And though most would expect Britney Spears to be living her best life after over a decade of being under her father’s control, she’s seemed to have gotten angrier and angrier at all involved, judging by her (now deactivated) Instagram. But before she closed her account, Britney explained that she frequently pissed-posts because her family has never apologized or taken accountability for their treatment of her. In true Spears public-mess fashion, Lynne replied to Britney’s post with an apology and a plea for Britney to unblock her.

Page Six says that as Britney often does at any given moment, she took to Insta on Saturday to write a long-ass stream of consciousness caption; this time to explain why she’s still so fired up at her family.

Britney said in a lengthy post that “a genuine apology would help give [her] closure” in their family feud.

In the post that sparked Lynne’s mea culpa, Britney wrote on Friday that her family members have “no conscious [sic] whatsoever and really believe in their minds they have done nothing wrong at all” in regard to her conservatorship, which gave her father, Jamie Spears, control of the “Toxic” singer’s personal, medical and financial decisions from February 2008 until the patriarch’s suspension as conservator in September 2021.

“I don’t have a family that values me or respects me …. AT ALL !!!” Britney added in her Instagram post. “That’s the hard part for me and as much as I loved them, it’s something that I’ll [sic] probably ever won’t be able to get over.”

Here’s the text from Britney’s post:

And right on cue, in slithered Lynne to the comment section, adding to the spectacle.

“I am soooo sorry for your pain! I have been sorry for years!” Lynne responded.

“I love you so much and miss you!” she continued, adding, “Britney, deep down you know how much I love and miss you! I apologize for anything and everything that’s hurt you!”

The “Through the Storm” author, 67, also begged the Grammy winner, 40, to “please unblock” her so that they “can speak … in person.”

And here’s Lynne’s reply:

This isn’t Lynne’s first attempt to reach out publicly. She and Britney had it out on Instagram over Britney’s claim of unreturned texts. Lynne also made this post to try to reach Britney back in August:

Apparently, Lynne has been working as hard as Britney’s dancin’ crop tops to have a mother-daughter conversation, but Brit isn’t having it. So Lynne’s only recourse has been to air the family drama publicly.

A source close to Lynne tells Page Six exclusively that the Spears matriarch has been “trying, trying, trying to get in touch” with Britney over the phone and feels “helpless,” leaving her with “no choice but to resort to social media.”

Lynne–who probably makes good money from the pyramid scheme she hawks in her Instagram bio just because a handful of dolts feel special buying questionable skincare products from Britney Spears’ mom–is soooo sorry (and has been for years!), but isn’t sorry enough to withdraw her request to have Britney cover her “more than $600,000 in legal fees.” If I were Lynne, I’d probably start by not demanding more than half of a million dollars. Then, I’d stand outside Britney’s window (if Jason can breach the gates, anyone can) holding a boombox blasting “Hold Me Closer” in one hand and an ice-cold Frapp in the other, while background dancers chosen to make Britney look “small rip spins all around the driveway. Britney has always made it widely known that she enjoys the simple things in life; get your head in the game, Lynne.
