Open Post: Hosted By The Man Who Posted A Craigslist Ad Looking For A Gay Man To Party With His Wife On The Weekends

A New York man found himself unable to keep up with his 30-year-old wife and her hard-partying ways. So he posted an ad to Craiglist looking for a “gay man to take wife out to party.” The husband says he’s looking for a homosexual who’s into electronic music, likes to party, and is in his twenties or thirties. If you fit this description and want to take this guy’s wife out on the town, you could make $30 an hour plus any cover/price of admission! But what about drinks? I feel like drinks should also be covered. And who, pray tell, will be paying for all the cocaine?

Today reports that “popular nightlife producer” Terence Edgerson reposted the ad on Instagram:

The original Craigslist ad has since disappeared, probably because it went semi-viral after Terence, aka @nysocialbee, shared it. Terence says a friend sent him the original ad and he thought it was hilarious, via Today:

“I host parties for different people… and so I was reading it and I was cracking up thinking, ‘Oh my god, this is me, someone gay to take out my wife,'” he explained.

He adds:

“It’s super sweet of him being like ‘Someone, please hang out with my wife and also know that she’s not going out by herself and she’s safe with someone,'” he said. “Which is what we always look for in nightlife and clubs: making sure that people are with friends and they’re safe.”

Even though the Craigslist ad is gone, the husband can suss out potential “gay besties” offering their services in the comments of Terence’s post. The official Grindr Instagram account even commented: “Me” Um, really, official Grindr Instagram account? You, the Grindr app, will somehow take this lady out on the town? That doesn’t even make any fucking sense. Do better, gay intern behind Grindr’s social media. Do better.
