Jon Hamm Says That He’s “Worn Underwear Every Single Day” Of His Life

It’s been 10 years since Jon Hamm’s hefty trouser entity, fondly referred to as “The Hammaconda” has made its way into our cultural lexicon. Over the years we’ve ogled it on the set of Mad Men, on dog walks, and on the red carpet. The pants containing it have changed, but the tingles it elicits remain consistent. The Hammaconda has become a familiar, cherished old chum at this point, and it has always just been assumed that Jon likes to let his baby-arm hang free, considering we’ve seen the entire outline of it. But during his recent stop at The Howard Stern Show on SiriusXM, Jon says that he’s never gone without underwear. And if the fact that his bulge is so prominent even WITH underwear has caused you to book the next flight out to find Jon and profess your insatiable thirst, slow your roll; because Jon also talked about how in love he is with his longtime girlfriend, Anna Osceola, and has even been contemplating marriage.

According to ET Canada, Howard asked about “the penis thing” right out of the gate, and Jon decided to put the rumors that he’s allergic to underwear to rest (probably because he’s so over his dick being scrutinized). In fact, he said that he has never NOT worn them.

The actor, 51, revealed once and for all whether or not he actually goes commando instead of wearing underwear.

“First of all, who doesn’t wear underwear?…I have worn underwear every single day of my life,” Hamm said, setting the record straight. “I love a comfy boxer brief,” he added.

Us, that’s who!” cried Lenny Kravitz, Britney Spears, and Al Roker (at least that one time he sharted his pants at the White House).

Then immediately after leaving us wondering if the ‘conda might be even bigger than previously thought, Jon hit us with a cold shower by gushing about his healthy relationship with his girlfriend, Anna, who he met when she was on Mad Men and stars with him in his new movie, Confess, Fletch.

“It’s good and comfortable and it’s a feeling about taking care of someone else and being taken care of,” Hamm said about his relationship, adding that although he’s never been married, he “could for sure” see himself settling down.

When asked if he’s in love, Hamm told host Howard Stern, “I very much so am [in love].”

Jon’s also been working on processing the trauma of growing up without his mom, who died when he was 10; so at the age of 51 maybe he’s finally not a frat douche anymore and is ready to be an actual daddy instead of just being called “daddy” in many a gray sweatpant fantasy.

The actor shared that, over the last few years, he’s been working on healing his wound, caused by the loss of his mother, which has blocked a lot of Hamm’s “emotional accessibility, availability and vulnerability.”

Doing so has “made the relationship that I’m in now even more meaningful and opened up the possibility of things like being married, having kids, you know defining a new version of happiness, life, wellness,” the actor revealed. “All that stuff that sounds hokey and whatever but it’s real and, for one of a better word, it’s what I’m working for. What else is there other than that.”

Jon touched on lots of other topics: his strange meeting with Tom Cruise and “Mom Cruise” at Jimmy Kimmel’s house that resulted in his Top Gun: Maverick role, how he had to audition seven times to land the part of Don Draper, losing several Emmys to Bryan Cranston, his decades-long friendship with Paul Rudd, and his Real Housewives habit. If Jon was trying to dull the flames his penis has lit by saying he wears underwear and is in a relationship, he may have actually just ignited more panties by fueling the fantasies of many who would love to have a Hamm/Rudd rendezvous while Erika Jayne screeches in the background about keeping her $750,000 diamond earrings (which in the interview, Jon insists she should GIVE BACK IMMEDIATELY).
