Ricky Martin Is Suing The Nephew Who Accused Him Of Stalking, Harassment, and Sexual Abuse
50-year-old Ricky Martin had quite the narrative arc over the summer when his 21-year-old nephew, Dennis Yadiel Sanchez, made the claim that they were in a 7-month-long sexually abusive affair together and it ended with Ricky harassing and stalking Dennis. But like the Telenovelas this moment was echoing, the already dramatic story took another dramatic turn when Dennis withdrew his complaint as Ricky testified that it was Dennis who was harassing Ricky for months. Welp, Ricky is now suing Dennis in San Juan, Puerto Rico for $20 million because the accusations fucked with Ricky’s career. Ricky also alleges that Dennis is STILL trying to extort him for money.
TMZ reports that Ricky claims in his legal filing that Dennis has “persecuted, besieged, harassed, stalked and extorted” him and is “a maladjusted person” who is trying to “assassinate” his reputation. Ricky goes on to say in his filing that Dennis hasn’t let up and posted his phone number on Instagram and created an Instagram account for one of Ricky’s children. Ricky says he’s lost multi-million dollar deals over the allegations and now he’s coming for Dennis for $20 million. But, girl, I don’t think Dennis has it. Ricky is also asking for a restraining order against his nephew.
According to the new lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, the nephew hasn’t stopped. Ricky claims a month after Dennis withdrew his restraining order, he began sending messages to Ricky through Instagram … threatening to “assassinate his reputation and integrity” unless he anted up cash.
Ricky says in the lawsuit before Dennis filed for a restraining order, he was publicly boasting about being Ricky’s nephew. Ricky says the nephew bombarded him with messages — sometimes more than 10 in a single day — for 4 months.
Ricky says the messages were clearly written by a “maladjusted individual.”
I wonder what the money-making opportunities were that Ricky missed out on. Imagine if he and Enrique Iglesias were planning another tour? Girl! The middle-aged moms would have lost it! If Ricky lost out on all the dollars from the soaked chonies of the crowd at that concert tour?! $20 million seems like Dennis got off easy.
