Tiffany Haddish Responded To The Allegations She And Aries Spears Sexually Exploited And Abused Children

The craziest shit happened recently–we were all reminded that Aries Spears exists. And even more insane, it was due to some horrible revelations regarding allegations of child sexual abuse and it also involved comedian Tiffany Haddish. The duo was recently sued over a Funny Or Die video from years ago that featured Aries as a pedophile preying on a child. So was that on the “Die” side of the website, or? Cause it sure isn’t funny, and it still isn’t all the years later now that they’re both getting sued. But Tiffany has finally spoken out about the allegations and she says that she can’t say anything. BUT! She does seem to imply that it wasn’t her idea and that she’ll speak more when the time is right. AKA, when her legal team gives her another carefully prepared statement that distances the name “Tiffany Haddish” from the phrase “child sexual abuse” as much as possible.

This lawsuit stems from allegations made by a now 22-year-old woman who is named Jane Doe in legal filings. She claims she and her younger brother–named John Doe in the case–knew Tiffany as a “longtime family friend” and that Tiffany cast them in skits like “sexually explicit Subway commercial.” The legal complaint also alleges that Tiffany brought Jane and her younger brother John to Aries’ home in 2014 to do what they say was a reel for Nickelodeon. Which makes sense considering what we’ve heard about Nickelodeon… At Aries’ house, Jane alleges that Tiffany separated her from her then 7-year-old brother, who Aries began “molesting” on film. The lawsuit states that Tiffany “aided, abetted and watched Spears sexually molest a child.” The siblings are accusing Tiffany and Aries of “grooming” and leaving them “traumatized for life.”

Funny or Die already responded to the skits, saying that they deleted the videos from their servers years ago. But Tiffany’s response is tepid. Tiffany took to Instagram to post a message and made sure to keep the comments closed.

Wow… pushing the limits of that Beyoncé NDA probably seems like a walk in the park compared to this, huh? Notice how she says “agreed to act” like she didn’t come up with the idea? Yeah, Aries is gonna be pushed under the bus and hopefully, Lizzo is driving it.

I think that Tiffany’s statement could have been better. Sure she can’t talk about the legal case maybe because of whatever ongoing stuff is happening, but she could be transparent about other things. Like her motives–she could just say: “Please don’t drop me from any paying gigs before I can mount a proper legal defense–Please don’t cut my endorsement deals over child abuse allegations! They’re only allegations, nothing’s been proven yet so I can do another Groupons gig still!”
