Tiffany Haddish And Aries Spears Are Being Sued For Child Sexual Abuse

Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears are being sued for child sexual abuse by two siblings. TMZ reports that the lawsuit says the comedians groomed a 14-year-old girl and her 7-year-old brother back in 2013 and 2014. They allegedly convinced the kids to appear in a sexually suggestive comedy video, one of which was entitled “Through a Pedophile’s Eyes” and later uploaded to the website Funny or Die. There are also claims that 42-year-old Tiffany and 47-year-old Aries molested the boy while filming. The plaintiffs, who are going by John and Jane Doe, say they’ve been traumatized for life. But Tiffany’s attorney tells TMZ that the suit is a “bogus” extortion attempt by the accusers’ mother. News of the lawsuit comes a few days after Lizzo called out Aries Spears at the VMAs for his mean comments about her appearance. So, apparently, this week is hell-bent on reminding us that the former MADtv cast member still exists.

According to the complaint, Tiffany was a friend of the plaintiffs’ mother. Jane Doe says she was enrolled in a comedy camp back in 2013, where Tiffany was a guest speaker. She allegedly told the teen girl “she had the perfect role for her,” and drove the girl to a studio. There, Tiffany and Aries allegedly showed the girl a video of “an older man and a college-age woman” eating a sandwich from either end while moaning sexually, “in a manner that simulated the act of fellatio.” The complaint continues, via CNN:

“Spears then told Plaintiff Jane Doe that he wanted her to mimic what she had seen on the screen, including the noises precisely like what she heard throughout the video,” the suit states. “Plaintiff Jane Doe, nervous and disgusted, didn’t say anything until Haddish came into the room next to her and sat down. Haddish verbally explained what was expected of Plaintiff Jane Doe and then showed Plaintiff Jane Doe how to give fellatio, including movements, noises, moaning, and groaning.”

“Physically, emotionally, and mentally uncomfortable, Plaintiff Jane Doe mimicked the acts that Haddish and Spears wanted her to do so she could go home,” the complaint continued.

The teen says that, after she complied, Tiffany paid her $100 and sent her home. The following summer, Tiffany allegedly offered to film a sizzle reel for the girl’s younger brother, then aged 7. She allegedly claimed the reel would be used to get the boy acting work on Nickelodeon (maybe they heard those rumors about Dan Schneider):

“Upon information and belief, Haddish and Spears removed the 7-year-old victim from his sister, placed him upstairs in a bedroom, and stripped the child down to his underwear,” according to the suit. “The video was entitled ‘Through A Pedophiles Eyes’ and shows Spears lusting over the 7-year-old child” and rubbing his back.

Haddish was present during the filming of the entire video, the complaint states.

Dear God! The suit says Tiffany was present during the entirety of filming, and photos (allegedly) from the shoot are included in the complaint. TMZ reports that the siblings claim to have developed social disorders after these incidents. The sister says her trauma has prevented her from dating anyone because she’s scared she’ll be “led down a path of false trust like the path Haddish led her down.” The brother says he’s so afraid of being watched or recorded that he places Band-Aids over all the cameras on his electronics.

The plaintiffs say that their mother tried to reach a $15,000 settlement with Aries over the alleged molestation video. They’re going after both comedians for damages. But Tiffany’s lawyer told TMZ that this whole suit is an extortion attempt, and the kids’ mother “has been trying to assert these bogus claims against Ms. Haddish for several years.” The attorney continues:

“Every attorney who has initially taken on her case — and there were several — ultimately dropped the matter once it became clear that the claims were meritless and Ms. Haddish would not be shaken down. Now, Ms. Morris has her adult daughter representing herself in this lawsuit. The two of them will together face the consequences of pursuing this frivolous action.”

As for Funny or Die, they told TMZ that, despite what the lawsuit claims, they had nothing to do with the making of “Through a Pedophile’s Eyes”:

“Funny Or Die found this video absolutely disgusting and would never produce such content. We were not involved with the conceptualization, development, funding, or production of this video. It was uploaded to the site as user-generated content and was removed in 2018 immediately after becoming aware of its existence.”

Damn. You know your little “comedy” skit has gone too far when a frat boy-run site like Funny or Die officially calls it disgusting. This whole lawsuit is gross and I need to go out and purchase some pre-weekend eye bleach ASAP. And also maybe some brain bleach to forget about Aries Spears again.
