One Of The Men Who Robbed Kim Kardashian In Paris Blames Her For The Theft

Back in 2016, Kim Kardashian was held at gunpoint in Paris and the thieves made off with over $10 million worth of goods including her $4 million engagement ring. A year later, 16 suspects were arrested and 12 are still awaiting trial. Well, now one of the men who helped orchestrate the crime, 67-year-old Yunis Abbas, is talking about that fateful day which ultimately led to him doing 22 months in prison (he was released early due to health reasons). And you would think that since he’s out of jail he would be remorseful, but not Pop-Pop Yunis. He has no remorse at all and if you ask for his opinion about the robbery, he’ll immediately tell you he blames Kim for flaunting her immense wealth.

The New York Post reports that in an interview with Vice, Yunis was asked a few questions about the infamous Paris heist that Kim says left her traumatized. During an interview with David Letterman in 2020, Kim talked about what she went through:

But Yunis’ nonchalance about the robbery is unmatched. You can tell he doesn’t give a damn about Kim or the robbery. Yunis said he was running low on cash at the time, so he and his team of fellow PeePaw gangsters (many of the robbers were over 60 years old) targeted Kim because she has more than enough money to go around.

Yunis Abbas spent nearly two years in prison for the sensational $10 million heist in which Kardashian was tied up and put in the bathtub of her hotel room by robbers posing as cops.

“Since she was throwing money away, I was there to collect it, and that was that. Guilty? No, I don’t care,” Abbas sniffed to VICE News in an interview published Saturday.

“They should be a little less showy towards people who can’t afford it,” he said of Kardashian and other celebrities who flaunt their wealth online. “For some people, it’s provocative.”

Yunis even wrote a book about the theft titled I Kidnapped Kim Kardashian. And he went into further details about how they executed the crime so perfectly.

He said the gang used the Internet to track down Kardashian and rob her after he noticed her all over social media flashing her jewels.

Abbas said he stayed downstairs in the hotel to keep guard while his co-conspirators tied up the reality star in the hotel bathtub.

“Madame Kardashian’s secretary called for help. But she called 911 in the United States, which scared us, which made them lose a lot of time. And when we got out, there was a bunch of police outside who didn’t know anything about the robbery,” he said.

Well, he is a professional criminal so it makes sense that he has zero remorse and doesn’t give a single fuck. Yunis saying “I am sorry for robbing Kim Kardashian” would be as shocking as Kim Kardashian saying “I am donating my entire fortune to charity.” And Yunis may sleep well at night, but he really should sleep with one eye open because Kris Jenner is definitely coming for a piece of his book sales (if he has any).
