Pillsbury Waffle Sticks!

Nowadays, you can get your waffle stick fix (just pretend that’s a thing) from waffle stick makers or Eggo’s waffle sticks. But in the early-aughts, the name on everybody’s lips was the Pillsbury Doughboy’s Waffle Stick. Pillsbury Waffle Sticks were a morning time gift for us lazies who were so tired in the morning that we really didn’t want to pick up a heavy ass knife and fork to cut a frozen waffle with. Waffle Sticks were a lazy trick’s breakfast savior!

Pillsbury Waffle Sticks came in two versions: regular and blueberry. And a box of Waffle Sticks also came with dippin’ cups filled with syrup. In this Pillsbury Waffle Sticks commercial from 2003, a nurse pushes her food cart through the halls of a hospital and hears what sounds like a cockatoo having the time of their life during some butt fuck fun. But the sound is actually coming from a patient in a full-body cast who’s having the time of his life while dunking his Waffle Sticks. The commercial also asks the question: What hospital had a cafeteria that was so gourmet that it served Pillsbury Waffle Sticks?!

Pillsbury eventually discontinued their Waffle Sticks and that probably led to many hospital visits. Because Waffle Stick eaters had to re-figure out how to use a fork and knife to cut up a waffle and that probably caused them to poke an eye out. And while laying in the hospital, they probably wished they were in the magical hospital that served Pillsbury Waffle Sticks…
