33-Year-Old Joe Jonas Is Hawking Injectables
Last month, Joe Jonas welcomed his second daughter with wife Sophie Turner. As we all know, babies are very expensive, even for a big-time celeb like Joe. And there’s only so many times the Jonas Brothers can reunite! So Joe decided to get a side-hustle for some extra cash. His new job? He’s promoting Xeomin, a Botox alternative that reduces fine lines and wrinkles. Yep, at the ripe old age of 33, Joe is hawking injectables.
Joe sat down for an exclusive commercial interview with People to talk about his new product skincare routine. He says, “We’re all getting older and part of that is being comfortable in our skin,” adding that he wants to further the conversation that men should take care of their skin too:
That’s why the musician has partnered with Xeomin — a cosmetic injectable that smoothes fine lines using a uniquely purified formula that removes unnecessary proteins — for its new “Beauty on Your Terms” campaign.
“I don’t think it’s necessarily something that we have to shy away from,” he shares with PEOPLE. “We can be open and honest about it and be confident and not really shy away from speaking our truth.”
Joe tells People that he’s become more confident after using Xeomin to smooth out his frown lines and a scar between his eyebrows, adding that the treatment wasn’t too “over the top, it’s very light”:
“There were all these talks at one point, like, ‘Oh, men can’t do this or it’s weird for guys to do that,’ and I think there’s a stigma that’s fading, and I like that,” he says. “Guys are more openly wearing makeup, and it’s great to see. It’s like, do whatever you want, you know? It’s a beautiful generation that we’re living in.”
Ahhh, yes. This beautiful generation, pumped to the gills with Botox, fillers, and silicone. Joe isn’t Xeomin’s first celebrity spokesperson; last year Gwyneth Paltrow also began promoting for the injectable. Here’s Joe’s ad, which follows him as he wakes up fully clothed and counts down the hours to a very important midday recording session:
I think that if Joe wanted to make big money promoting a product, he should’ve picked something to do with those magnificent, sweeping eyebrows. “Joe Jonas’ Eyebrow Grease: You’d Have To Be A Sucker* To Pass This Shit Up!”
*Google tells me this is the title of a Jonas Brothers song
