FKA Twigs And Margaret Qualley Got Into An Argument About Shia LeBeouf At The Bel Air Hotel

As low-rent and busted as he looks, Shia LaBeouf’s name was on everybody’s lips at the swanky Bel Air hotel recently when two of his ex-girlfriends, FKA Twigs and Margaret Qualley, got into a heated argument over what witnesses say was Margaret not wanting to act as a witness for Twigs in her lawsuit against Shia in which she is accusing him of physical, sexual and psychological domestic abuse, all of which he denies. That alone should have been enough to condemn the property because you can get bed bugs, or worse, just thinking his name, let alone arguing about him “in full view of the other hotel guests.” You want ants? Because that is how you get ants. You’d be better off summoning the Candyman. Page Six reports that Margaret’s fiancé Jack Antonoff even got pulled into the muck when he stepped in to defend her. Yep. Shia is that pernicious.

A little over a year ago Shia and Twigs were said to be working towards a settlement and the judge had given them a deadline of December 2021 to do so, or the case would go to trial. That ship has sailed and a trial date has been set for April of 2023. Page Six reports:

The fallout from Shia LaBeouf’s alleged abuse has, sadly, come between two women he has dated, Page Six has learned — and the bad blood led to a tense confrontation between them at the Bel Air hotel.

Chic British singer FKA twigs is suing the “Transformers” actor for alleged sexual battery, assault and infliction of emotional distress during their relationship, which lasted from the summer of 2018 to the spring of 2019. (LaBeouf has admitted being abusive to those around him, but denied her specific claims).

When she first made the shocking allegations in an interview with Elle magazine in September 2021, actress Margaret Qualley — who also briefly dated LaBeouf in early 2021 — posted the cover on social media with the caption “Thank you.”

Shortly after that post, Margaret told Harper’s Bazaar she did it because “It was important to me for her to know that I believe her — and it’s as simple as that.” But today that post of support is no longer on Margaret’s Instagram page because Margaret no longer has an Instagram page. Dating both Pete Davidson and Shia LeBeouf before moving on to Lena Dunham’s ex would probably make you want to delete a lot of evidence too. Twigs and Margaret did not know each other at the time, but Page Six reports they kept in touch after the Elle cover and just “happened to run into each other” at the Bel Air.

We’re told that after the piece came out, Twigs and Qualley exchanged messages, and Twigs hoped that Qualley would agree to be a witness in the case, which is set to go to trial in April 2023.

But it seems Twigs became disappointed that — despite her public show of support — Qualley didn’t appear willing to throw herself into the suit as actively as the singer had hoped.

Sources say it’s unclear who approached whom, but the pair got into an intense verbal dispute over the matter in full view of the other hotel guests, and that Qualley’s fiancé, Bleachers singer Jack Antonoff, came to her defense and joined in with the argument.

Insiders say that Twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, and Qualley were both left “shaken” by the incident.

Ugh, I can only imagine how icky that confrontation must have felt for both of them. But at least no one was hurt which is more than you can say for 88% of stories involving Shia. 98% if we’re including stories about the excruciating pain of witnessing bad art.
