Joe Exotic Is Hoping For Another Shot At A Presidential Pardon With Help From “90 Day Fiancé” Alum Jesse Meester
Joseph Maldonado-Passage, or Joe Exotic as he’s better known, has been begging for a presidential pardon since rising to fame on one of the skankiest shows to come out of the pandemic: Netflix’s Tiger King. Joe has been imprisoned since January 2020 for animal abuse and having a hit out on rival cat lady/“that bitch” Carole Baskin. Joe seemed to be close to getting a pardon from that past reality star/probably future inmate president (that we don’t need to mention by name near meal times), but fell short, while clemency was granted to rappers Lil Wayne and Kodak Black. Now, Joe is attempting to be pardoned by President Biden with the help of another reality person–Jesse Meester– who appeared on 90 Day Fiancé and is the ex of notable cougar, Darcey Silva.
If one were to take a peek at Joe Exotic’s Instagram, it’s clear that the only thing on his mind these days is getting dat’dere presidential pardon. According to People, Joe and Jesse have recently formed a friendship and for some reason, Joe is assuming that Jesse’s fleeting brush with fame was significant enough for it to be of use to him.
The Tiger King star, who is also known as Joe Exotic, has formed a friendship with 90 Day Fiancé alum Jesse Meester — and enlisted his help to ask President Joe Biden for a pardon.
In an Instagram post on Monday, Joe introduced the 29-year-old reality TV star to his followers and revealed his plans to team up with Meester.
“Meet my amazing dear friend Jesse Meester, actor, model, and so much more,” Joe, 59, captioned a photo of a shirtless Jesse. “You will see him around on my stuff more and more as he is going to help me get a voice to the White House for President Biden to sign my pardon before November of this year.”
“Show him some love,” he added. “Love you, Jesse.”

Jesse replied in the comments and seems committed to busting Joe out of the clink.
Jesse’s claim to fame is being on 90 Day Fiancé and a couple of spinoffs, yet no one has explained how that’s significant to Joe’s battle for freedom, but here we are anyway.
Jesse is best known for his multiple 90 Day Fiancé appearances, dating back to 2018. The Amsterdam native was first in a long-distance relationship with Darcey Silva. Though the two are no longer together, Jesse has appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, 90 Day Fiancé: The Single Life, Darcey & Stacey and other franchise spinoffs.
Joe is suffering from cancer and says that aside from the fact that he’s innocent of the crimes he’s imprisoned for, the cancer is another good reason he should no longer be behind bars.
Recently, Joe was diagnosed with “aggressive” prostate cancer and added the health problem to the list of reasons why he shouldn’t remain in prison.
“Please don’t make me die in prison waiting for a chance to be free,” he said to the federal judge during his January resentencing, per the Associated Press.
I’ve never seen someone cuff as many fiancés from prison as Joe Exotic, so maybe his love of fiancés is the connection to Jesse. But, if Joe wants a real chance at a pardon, he needs to befriend reality stars and celebs with more clout, like Bethenny Frankel who gets shit done, or Chrissy Teigen who inexplicably gets invited to political events. And if that doesn’t play out for him, the least he can do is befriend one of the several reality stars peddling haircare lines so he can take care of those perpetually frazzled ends.
