Kevin Federline Talked About Britney Spears’ Relationship With Her Sons During An Interview, And Yes, She Hit Back At Him

During Britney Spears’ fight to finally kill her 13-year conservatorship, her ex-husband Kevin Federline, who has primary custody of their Cheetolings, mostly stayed quiet but did throw support her way through his lawyer by saying that the “best thing for his children is for their mother to be happy and healthy.” Well, KFed just did something that has made Brit Brit the opposite of happy. KFed bit the Frapp-covered hand that feeds him and his family by talking about her relationship with her sons, 16-year-old Sean Preston Federline and 15-year-old Jayden James Federline. And he didn’t do it on a therapist’s couch. I mean, when you air your feelings out to a therapist, you have to give a check instead of taking one. So KFed decided to tell the world about his sons’ relationship with their mother during an interview with The Daily Mail that will air on Britain’s ITV in several parts this week. And since Brit Brit isn’t one to stay quiet when someone publicly brings up her name, she has slammed back, saying she’s sad that KFed is running his mouth about her and their sons.

Since Britney’s breakdown in 2008, KFed has been taking care of Sean Preston and Jayden with big help from the $1.3 million divorce settlement he got from her, as well as a monthly child support payment of $20,000. On top of the $20k a month, Brit Brit was also covering her kids’ school tuition, clothing, extracurricular activities, and more expenses. In 2018, KFed filed a request to triple his child support check from $20,000 a month to $60,000, because he said at the time that he was only bringing in $3,000 a month himself and claimed that Britney makes “roughly $34 million a year” so she can easily afford to pay more. 44-year-old KFed said that he could no longer find work as a dancer anymore because of his age. Britney’s conservator at the time, her dad Jamie Spears, responded to that by giving KFed a monthly budget on how to better spend that $20k a month, which KFed was reportedly “insulted” by. Jamie then offered KFed $10,000 more a month. KFed also shot that down. Eventually, Jamie reportedly agreed to raise KFed’s monthly child support payment by thousands more a month but the details were kept confidential.

That brings us to yesterday when The Daily Mail posted pieces from the interview. The interview was done at KFed’s house where he lives with SPF, Jayden James, his wife of 9 years Victoria Prince, and their daughters, 11-year-old Jordan and 8-year-old Peyton. KFed also has two kids with Shar Jackson, 20-year-old Kori and 18-year-old Kaleb. KFed said that he didn’t do the interview as “retribution” against Britney but “to show a hitherto untold side of this showbusiness story.” That’s a weird way of saying “to get as many checks as possible before my child support runs out.” And KFed and Brit’s boys were aware of the interview since The Mail on Sunday posted pictures of them with the interviewer, Daphne Barak.

KFed and Brit’s sons were not at her June wedding when she married Sam Asghari, and KFed said that it was their decision. And he added that they have chosen to not see their mom in months. The wholesome father, seen above at his old DJ gig at a Las Vegas strip club, brought up Britney putting her emoji-covered Frappucoochie and Cheeto nips on Instagram. KFed has talked to his sons about the pics and explained to them that it’s her way of expressing herself.

‘The boys have decided they are not seeing her right now,’ Kevin reveals. ‘It’s been a few months since they’ve seen her. They made the decision not to go to her wedding.’

And there have been numerous parenting challenges throughout the ongoing Britney saga. Following her release from her conservatorship last year, the 40-year-old star has remained at the centre of global attention and has taken to posting nude selfies on social media. At the time, Kevin says he felt compelled to apologise to the boys for any flak they experienced as a result.

He insists the boys love their mother, saying: ‘I try to explain to them, ‘Look, maybe that’s just another way she tries to express herself.’ But that doesn’t take away from the fact of what it does to them. It’s tough.’ He adds: ‘I can’t imagine how it feels to be a teenager having to go to high school.’

KFed then burped up words of praise for Daddy Spears. It was only a few years ago when Daddy Spears reportedly broke down a door and “violently” shook Sean Preston during a fight. That caused KFed to take a restraining order out against Daddy Spears. And as that restraining order is about to expire, KFed praised Daddy Spears for “saving” Britney’s life by creating the conservatorship. KFed has questions about why the conservatorship lasted so long, but still gave it up for Daddy Spears and actually said the words, “I feel bad for him.” Err, KFed knows that Daddy Spears is no longer the keeper of Brit Brit’s money, right?

‘I saw this man that really cared, and really cares about his family and wanting everything to be OK,’ he says. ‘When Jamie took over, things got into order. He saved her life.’

‘I would absolutely welcome Jamie Spears back in the boys’ lives,’ Kevin says. ‘Especially if that’s what the boys wanted. I don’t have any hard feelings towards Jamie Spears. People make mistakes. I feel bad for him. I feel like he’s been put through the wringer.’

That warmth extends equally to the rest of the family – Britney’s mother Lynne, known as ‘memaw’ by her grandsons, brother Bryan, who lives not far away in LA, and sister Jamie Lynne.

Not sure if Sean Preston will be open to that since he called his grandpa “a pretty big dickduring an Instagram chat two years ago. And in between throwing his son’s mother under the bus, KFed went on about the importance of family sticking together:

‘Family is supposed to stick together, and just because they’re not my immediate family, you know, they’re my sons’, my kids’ immediate family,’ Kevin says. ‘They love their memaw. My priority has always been: it is about what is good for the boys.’

Victoria, who was there during the interview, also piped in with: “Whatever is going on outside, has nothing to do with what is going on inside this house!”

As for Britney’s response, she posted an Instagram Story where she said that her estranged mother, Lynne Spears, is the one who told her to give sole custody of her sons to KFed and added that her distant relationship with her sons isn’t because of what she posts on Instagram:

And she wasn’t done there. She continued to defend herself on Instagram:

Britney’s husband also tapped in to call out KFed:

During KFed’s ITV interview, he also said that he’s concerned and uncomfortable with some things his sons said they witnessed at their mom’s house during their visits with her in recent years. But KFed wouldn’t get into details. I bet he’s saving those stories for a $equel to this interview, and shit, I’d much rather a sequel to PopoZão called PopoZão-ier. No, I don’t really want that either but that would be a much better money grab than this.
