Doja Cat Showed Off Her New Shaved Head On Instagram Live And Then Shaved Her Eyebrows

Yesterday Doja Cat hopped on Instagram Live and debuted her newly shaved head. Lest you think Doja’s recent feud with the Stranger Things kid triggered a full Britney-in-2007-bald-headed meltdown, think again. The 26-year-old told her Instagram followers that she’s “obsessed” with her new hairdo, she never actually liked having hair, and she hated when her wigs would slide and peel off her head when she worked out. Soon, a fan in the comments asked about Doja’s eyebrows. Doja’s wheels started turning, and she asked viewers if she should shave her eyebrows off right then and there, joking, “Should I do it for clout?” Fans in the comments were divided, but Doja said, “Fuck it, I’m doing it.” And then she did. A woman of her word!

Here’s what Doja said about her new buzzed look, via E! Online:

“I feel like I was never supposed to have hair anyway,” she said. “I don’t like having hair. I never liked having hair. I cannot tell you one time since the beginning of my life that I’ve ever been like, ‘This is cool.’ I just do not like to have hair.”

She adds that she couldn’t believe it took her so long to shave her head, and she really likes the change. Then Doja talked about some of the challenges she faced when she was wearing wigs:

“I remember feeling so f–king just exhausted with working out,” she shared. “Whenever I went to go train—I had a trainer at one point—and I’d be wearing wigs and they would be getting tacky and retack because of the moisture, and then they’d start sliding and peeling off my head when I’d be doing this incredibly strenuous thing.”

Here’s Doja talking about her hair:

Doja fielded some questions from fans, and confirmed that she would still wear wigs on occasion. Someone in the comments asked if she bleached her eyebrows, and she said she had before, but they grew back too fast. Then, Doja got ta thinkin’ about her brows as she picked at her nails:

I don’t even have eyebrows to begin with, so I was thinking I should just shave them off… (gets amazing idea) Should I just fucking BIC my eyebrows off? Should I BIC my eyebrows right now? Should I do it for clout? Should I BIC my eyebrows for clout?

(she reads the Instagram Live comments) I’m gonna BIC my eyebrows for clout on cam right now. (checks comments and bursts out laughing) There’s a bunch of YES, and there’s a bunch of NOOOO! I don’t have eyebrows! Why are you holding onto eyebrows I don’t have? Why, what do you think’s gonna happen?

After that, there was no stopping her. She said, “I just wanna shave my fucking eyebrows off,” and “I kinda wanna do like blue eyebrows or some stupid shit like that.” After 1.5 seconds of contemplating this possibility, Doja announces, “Yeah, fuck you, I’m doing it!”, and skips away to collect her eyebrow-shaving tools. Soon she returns, singing a song she just made up, entitled, “Dick Licker.” Then, the shaving process begins. Here’s the full Instagram Live. The eyebrow-shaving starts around the 19:30 mark:

If I looked as good as Doja does without hair, I’d shave it off too. Hair is so annoying and sweaty and hard to maintain, especially in this, a sticky summer courtesy of climate change. But shaving off the eyebrows? I dunno, man. It’s a little Voldemort. Unless, that’s what Doja’s going for. I mean, she’s already Stranger Things fans’ #2 most-hated villain ever (Vecna’s #1), why not lean into it?
