Open Post: Hosted By The “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Themed Bathroom

August 3, 2022 / Posted by:

When RuPaul’s Drag Race first aired back in 2009 I don’t think people understood how much of a cultural phenomenon it would become. And one of its fans, ageless ball of energy Shaun T, has decided to do something really cool (or really tacky depending on which miserable bitch you ask) for his husband Scott Blokker. Recently Shaun and Scott, along with their twin sons Silas and Sander, have moved into a brand new home so of course, they want to create an environment they will all enjoy for years to come. And since Scott is a huge Drag Race fan Shaun just elevated himself to Best Husband EVER! status by giving one of their bathrooms a complete Drag Race makeover.

Queerty reports that Shaun wants to make sure everyone knows how much he appreciates Scott by giving him the bathroom of his dreams. A place where instead of just singing in the shower he can lip sync for his life every morning before heading off into the world! And the reason why Shaun wanted to do this for him is probably that he wants to make sure Scott has a place to hide from him and the kids on days when all he wants to do is practice his death drops and hair whips in peace.

Shaun shared a video of the reveal moment as a reel on his Instagram.

“A surprise for Scott,” Shaun captioned the reel. “One of my goals for our home was to have it represent many parts of us. This one particularly is for Scott. He loves @rupaulsdragrace and this is definitely one of our favorite rooms in the house!”

Shaun credited designers “JUST” Giovannie (@justcreatedit) and @all.things.elliott with helping to create the space. The latter shared a video on his Instagram of the finished space.

All I want to know is why aren’t all the bathrooms in the world Drag Race inspired? Because I would never leave that room, even if I had guests over. However, the only thing I would change is putting a sign up that reads “Spray Before You Sashay Away.” That would complete the look.
