Candace Cameron Bure’s Daughter Slammed JoJo Siwa For Her “Rudest Celebrity Comment”

The Juicy Celebrity Feud Factory must be on summer hiatus, because this milquetoast one just keeps dragging on. Last week, Dance Moms alum/tween girl idol/walking glowstick JoJo Siwa made a TikTok outlining several of her celeb encounters and revealed that Candace Cameron Bure, of Full/Fuller House and Hallmark Christmas movie fame, had been rude to her. At that point, she gave no further context, leaving her followers intrigued and prompting Candace to post a Bible verse–which let’s be real, she would have probably posted anyway, because Candace gonna Candace. But being called “rude” must have really frosted DJ Tanner’s tips, because she gave JoJo a call to find out what she did that upset her. People speculated that maybe the incident had something to do with JoJo recently coming out as gay and Candace being uber Christian, but it had nothing to do with that. Apparently, Candace found out that she snubbed an 11-year-old JoJo when she asked for a photo on the Fuller House premiere red carpet and that it was a “rough experience” for JoJo. Apologies were exchanged and all seemed well, until Candace’s daughter, Natasha Bure, stepped into the ring by posting an Instagram Story crafted to snatch JoJo’s bow and defend her mother’s honor.
Natasha posted and then deleted an Instagram Story yesterday berating JoJo for pulling her mama into the TikTok drama. via Page Six:
“Respectfully, someone saying no to taking a photo with you is not a ‘rough experience,’” Bure wrote in the now-deleted Instagram Story Thursday.
“This generation is so sensitive and has zero backbone. Grow up. There are bigger issues in the world than this.”
The “Home Sweet Home” actress recognized that Siwa was left disappointed by the interaction, but dubbed her mom as “the most kind, soft-spoken, apologetic, class act” out there.
“For someone to say that they don’t want to take a photo with you or that it’s a bad time because they’re working is not a ‘rough experience,’” she concluded. “There are people who are dying in other countries, there are children who are starving. Those people are having a rough experience.”
“This generation is so sensitive?” Natasha is 23 and JoJo is 19; making them part of the same generation–so maybe Natasha is just very self-aware and she realizes that posting an Instagram story to back up her mom who already handled this non-issue of a situation is also pretty sensitive? Nah. I totally doubt that she gets it. But it does take a pretty hefty backbone to post and delete an attempted dragging. “Respectfully.”
And I bet no one would have guessed this, but at the same time Natasha put the smack down on JoJo, Candace posted another snippet from the Good Book.
At the same time, Candace posted on her Instagram Story the Bible verse Philippians 2:3, which reads, “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility. Consider others more important than yourselves.” She then captioned it, “A lesson I’m continuing to learn.”
And there you have it: this summer’s spiciest feud. Somewhere, JoJo is lacing up her most violent-looking spiked bow in preparation for serving a light burn back to Natasha, probably on TikTok. It’s no classic “Brandon Davis vs. Lindsay ‘Fire Crotch‘ Lohan on the streets of LA” beef, but it’s all we got. It’s a feud recession, times are tough.
